I woke up by the sound of birds chirping. I heard my mom calling my name from downstairs. I abruptly ran downstairs to see what is going on.
"Mom what's wrong?!" I asked.
"Good morning. Go brush your teeth. I have something to tell you." my mom returned with an answer.I walked back upstairs and brushed my teeth as she said. My mom and I sit down on the couch and she makes eye contact.
"This might shocked you a bit but your dad called to inform me that we are moving to America" my mom says as I looked at her.
I was surprised and sad at the same time because there are so many memories here. I didn't want to leave my friends. I didn't want to leave my house. I didn't want to leave anything behind. To sum up what I meant, basically I wasn't ready.
I ran back upstairs to my room and slammed the door shut. As I lay in bed, I noticed tears start dripping down the side of my eyes. I wish I could do something about it but I can't because I don't really have a choice.
I stayed in my room for about 3 hours trying not to think about it.My mom told my brother the same thing she told me but my brother was actually excited instead of being sad like me.
Later that day, my mom made dinner and called us down to eat."Elena, don't be sad. I'm sure you'll like it there" my mom said pleasantly.
I have nothing to say so I stayed silent for the rest of dinner.
After I'm done eating, I went back upstairs to do all of the necessary things I needed to do before I go to bed.
I tried thinking about positive things about moving to America and there are a few advantages I could think of. All of the advantages makes me happy and I fell asleep forgetting the pain.
