Marshall froze on the spot. Shit. "What did you say?" He asked his aunt. "I should have seen it, honestly. It was so obvious." Lizzie tells herself. "How you're getting close to Josie and Hope. How you and your sister look alot like the both of them. How you two are twins. You're both siphons. But then you both can use magic without having to syphon anything. And then those eyes." It's true, the twins had their ma's hair, eyebrows, but the eyes, that's all mom's. "Can we talk about this somewhere more private please?" He pleads. "Ok, fine. Let's go to your room, or better yet. Mine, or maybe Hope's." Lizzie shudders. "On second thought, your room is fine. That way, I can talk to your sister too, my niece." He frowns and heads to his room, his aunt following quickly behind. He opens the door and holds it open for her. "Hey, why'd you take so lo-?" Andrea freezes as her aunt steps in front of her. "Andrea right?" Lizzie asks. "Uh, yeah?" "As in Hope Andrea Mikealson?" She asks.
"How did you know?" She asks. "It doesn't take a genius. You two," she glances between her niece and nephew, "look exactly like a mixture of Hope and Josie. As gross as that sounds." The twins smile slightly. "What?" Lizzie looked at them confused. "Nothing, just you haven't changed in the future, with the teasing that you give mom and ma." Lizzie raises her eyebrows. "Mom and ma? Is that what you call them?" They both nod. "What are your names?" She asked as she sat down at the desk. "My name is Marshall Nikolas Saltzman-Mikealson." He says. "And my name is Andrea Elizabeth Saltzman-Mikealson." Lizzie stares at her. "Your mom's named you after me?" She whispered. Andrea nods. "It was actually mom's idea. Hope. It was her idea." Lizzie smiles. "Well, that kind of makes her more tolerable. Kind of. Now, how did you get here?" The twins shrugged. "We don't know, we were in a potions class, something went wrong, and the next thing we knew, we were here." Marshall sighs. "Ok," Lizzie breathes, slowly processing everything, "so does anyone else know?" She asks. The twins shake their heads. "No, you're the only one. Although if you're already suspicious, something tells me not for long." Andrea shares a look with her brother.
"Wait, who did you come from?" Lizzie asks. "Um, biologically, both. Ma, your sister, magically got mom, Hope, pregnant. And since she's part wolf, we inherited that too. We're both siphon witches, cause ma was, but we have magic of our own as well." Lizzie nods, following along. "And you're both wolves as well? Have you...I mean, have you..triggered it yet?" She asked gently. The twins both bite their lips and look down, suddenly finding their shoes more interesting, before nodding. "We were um....12 or 13? I don't remember much from that night, but it was a school dance. Mom and ma were dancing together, having fun. You were dancing with....someone. And we were with our friends, someone got drunk, started a fight. We didn't mean to but....anyways, he's dead. And we triggered our curse. The full moon was the week after that. It hurt. Like alot. Like a bitch even. But mom talked us through it. She said that our grandpa, her dad, talked her through her first transition. How to embrace the pain, everything. To feel the earth beneath us and the chill of the wind at night. We were actually outside, unlike the rest of the werewolves at this school. I guess mom just trusted us to be in control of ourselves." Lizzie nods before coming closer and giving them both a hug. "I am so sorry you had to go through that."
"It's ok, it's who we are. It's done now, this is the way things are now. No use crying over spilled milk. But we do shift every once in a while. Just to take the edge off. We used to shift with....with mom every other week or so. Obviously not anymore, but yeah. It is what it is." Andrea shrugs. Lizzie felt sorry for them. It was clear family meant everything to them, courtesy of Hope probably. Family means everything to that girl, it's clear that was passed down to her kids as well. "It feels stupid, missing mom when she's right here." Marshall shakes his head. "No it's not. Hope may be here but your mom isn't. Technically that person doesn't exist yet. She doesn't have kids yet. She doesn't have two wonder children who would do anything for family. And anything to get back to them. I'm glad you're my niece and nephew. Now, we are going to fix this. I don't know how, that's usually your mom's thing. Saving the day and all that crap, but I will help. However I can. I promise." Lizzie smiles at them. "Thanks aunt Lizzie." They both say. "Wow....that's gonna take some getting used to." The twins laugh. "Like the fact that mom and ma are married in the future with two kids?" Andrea smirked. "Ew, oh god. That too." Lizzie shakes her head. "And quit smirking at me like that!" The twins laugh. "It's not my fault, it's the famous Mikealson smirk." They each earned a flick to the forehead for that one. But it was nice, to mess with their aunt again, to talk to her as their aunt. To have some family again, other than each other.
"Now, it's getting pretty late, you two should go to sleep." Lizzie hugs them and gives them each a kiss on the forehead. "Goodnight aunt Lizzie." The twins say. "Goodnight kids." Lizzie smiles and heads for the door before suddenly turning around. "Oh, I almost forgot. Do I ever get married and have kids in the future?" Lizzie smirked. "Goodnight aunt Lizzie!" They magically shut the door and lock it. "How rude! I am telling your mother's this!" Lizzie says from behind the door. Of course, the twins knew she didn't really mean it. She wouldn't risk the future like that.
