The room absolute silent. When the four boys exited the room, there were no words exchanged, just silence; the Jiang boys took this as a sign of continuing with their punishment.

They could not have been more wrong.

"What the hell did you two do last night," came Lan Xichen's voice, his everlasting smile gone, his eyes held a deep resentment that sent shivers down the Jiang brother.

"Brother is right. They are our kids, " said Lan Wanji as he stood up from his seat only to walk towards Wei Wuxian slowly, almost like a hunter about to hunt its prey. He knelt to look slowly look at the man in front of him, who was looking down at the piece of paper as it was his shelter from the shame.

"Wei Ying,"

He didn't answer nor lookup.

"Answer me what happened last night,"

He didn't answer nor look up again.

"Wei Ying"

and Again.

"WEI WUXIAN"

Lan Wanji grabbed Wei Ying's face by his cheeks and made him look up; Lan Wanji leaned into Wei Wuxian's neck where the certain spot was located and slowly sunk his teeth on the same reddened spot, sucking it hard only to bruise it and turn it a light purple. Wei Wuxian couldn't help but let out a little scream due to the pain. The room followed the suit of Silence.

Jiang-cheng gulped in horror as he didn't want to suffer a similar fate to his adoptive brother, but when he looked across to see Lan Xichen glaring at him, his horror increased.

"Jiang Wanyin, please do speak up what transpired last night," said Lan Xichen rashly, putting his brush away.

Lan Wanji glared one last time at Wei Wuxian, who was still shocked by the previous possessive behaviour. Not wanting to disregard the man further, he decided that telling what occurred last night would be the best course of action; he looked at Jiang Cheng, who nodded in agreement.

"Well, you see, Lan Zhan, we actually don't remember what exactly happened, we headed out to drink the emperor smile, but the waitress, she put in something extra in our drink," said Wei Wuxian, who got a glare in return.

"No, Lan Zhan doesn't get angry that was Jiang Cheng's fault for flirting with her in the first place," ratted Wei Wuxian, who didn't want another painful bite, as he gave Jiang cheng an apologetic rule.

"You- HOW DARE YOU THROW ME UNDER THE BUS WEREN'T WE THE YUMIANG PRIDES?" yelled Jiang cheng, who wanted to throw the ink cartilage at Wei Wuxian but immediately ceased when Lan Xhicehn spoke.

"Jiang Chen, is this true? How could you flirt in front of Jingyi," asked Lan Xichen

"sect Leader Lan, I assure you that I did not flirt; I merely complimented the girl while smiling at her," said Jiang Cheng, who had yet to meet the other's eye.

" Well, how else would you define flirting, Jiang wanyin," yelled Lan Xichen,

" What... I was not. Doing such a thing," lied Lan Xicheng

"I would never put Jingyi's life in danger by acting upon my desires like you had, rather than pointing finger's at me. Why do you not take responsibility," said Lan xichen?

Jiang Cheng couldn't believe his ears, so that piece of shit mengyao was what the clan leader wanted; he knew that was a huge possibility but having him say it out loud hurt a lot.

"Oh right, no matter what we do, we cannot change the future for our kids as we are an alternative reality to them. Hence the kids are of no danger," said Wei Wuxian.

" so that means we shouldn't have to follow the course of that future, right," said Lan Zhan, a small smile present on his face. A sword pierced Wei Wuxian's heart; why did Lan Zhan not want him was the earlier possessiveness just for the kids' sake or because he didn't want his future husband to be whoring out and about on the streets, was there no sign of passion or love? Wei Wuxian wondered.

Lan Wanji and Lan Xichen both thought that was good news, so why did a small part of them ache when the image of a reality that didn't they didn't end up with the Jiang brother.
