Bea's POV

"Babe, don't wait for me na later, ha? May pa-kain boss namin later tonight."

I was busy cooking when Jho spoke to me, while she frantically search for her car keys.

"Huh? Every week ba kayo may celebration? Hindi ka ba kakain?" I asked, annoyed kaagad because this is the nth time na may alis sila at hindi nanaman siya kakain ng breakfast with me.

Kung hindi overtime, may celebration.

How many nights pa for me to feel alone dito sa condo?

"Hays, don't start Bea, I am going to be late na, marami lang kami aasikasuhin. Doon na ako mag eat," she quickly put on her heels.

"Sorry, I'll make it up to you nalang tomorrow," she continues as she left me with a quick kiss on my lips to shut me up.

I was about to complain when she said her goodbye's already and was outside the door.

"Right, babawi." I whispered to myself.

Jho, my wife for 5 years, has been busy for weeks now.

Ilang buwan na rin, actually.

Whenever I ask her how she is, wala na. She's in deep sleep kaagad.

There's no doubt that something is going on, especially that we're not like this before.

Our conversation became shorter as time passes by, and we barely hangout.

Ganito ba talaga 'pag ilang taon na kasal?

"🔔!"

I was done cooking when I heard a notification from someone's phone.

Jho must have forgotten her phone. Hatid ko nalang mamaya.

I smiled at the thought. I often visit her sa work before, when she used to let me come.

Ngayon kasi, sabi niya bawal na.

"🔔!"

I heard it notify again, so I checked her phone.

Good thing, hindi niya nilalagyan ng pass ang phone, this may be an emergency.

📱: Sure na later tonight?

📱: Wait kita dito sa coffee shop.

I raised my brow at the unknown number text.

Baka wrong number lang? I shook my head.

Pero hindi ako mapakali.

It may be one of her colleagues? Did it look like it? Baka boss nila?

I scrolled up to their previous conversations.

Before I could read her response, the door opened with Jho struggling to catch her breath.

"Babe, have you seen my phone?"

I quickly tapped the home button and turned it off.

"Oh, uh, here babe. It's on the counter," I said, trying to smile.

"Oh, dear. Thanks, bye ulit!" She quickly snatched her phone and ran away again.

Co-workers say I love you's to each other, right?

Yes. Yes.

I should stop overthinking this kahit mas mabilis pa siya mag reply doon.

She promised in her vows, I shouldn't doubt.

I shouldn't doubt MY wife.

Right?
