Things were tense in the main household in Snowchester. Yelling rung out into the night, the moon light glistening off the wet snow. The stars twinkling intently, as if trying to listen to the commotion in the mansion below them.

"Tubbo! I can explain!" Ranboo said, trying desperately to get Tubbo to cooperate.

"No! I don't want to hear it!" Micheal was curled up next to the trapdoor to his room, listening to his parents argue. It made him scared. He didn't want them to split up. If they do will he be forgotten?

"Whatever Tubbo! I'm going for a walk" Micheal flinched as Ranboo slammed the door.

"ARGH!" Tubbo yelled from downstairs. Micheal decided to head downstairs, even though it was way past his bedtime, his dad needed comfort. Micheal quietly opened the trapdoor and climbed down the ladder. His feet hit the cold wooden floor, which was a lot colder than his room because the fire downstairs had been put out a while ago.

"Bee?" Micheal said, still standing next to the ladder, his little blanket over his shoulders. "Where...where did Boo go?" Tubbo rubbed his face and put on a fake smile before turning and kneeling in front of Micheal.

"Uh..he went out to get some...supplies..." Tubbo cringed at his lie. Not only was it a terrible lie but he also hated lying to Micheal.

"B-but I heard yelling..." Micheal said, gripping his blanket tightly. Tubbo sighed. Of course he heard them yelling. They were being rather loud. He mentally face-palmed himself for not trying to be quiet.

"Well, bud, sometimes grown ups can get into fights, like you can get into fights with your friends. I promise everything is okay, do you want me to tuck you back into bed?" Micheal looked down and nodded. Tubbo stood up and stretched. "Go ahead and go into your bed," Tubbo gestured to the floor, where there were a few things Tubbo had thrown out of anger, scattered around, "I gotta clean some of this up."

"Okay..." Micheal said, turning to the ladder and climbing up slowly, trying to keep his blanket falling off his shoulders. Tubbo's fake smile faded off his face once Micheal had closed the trap door. He bit his lower lip to keep it from quivering and tears pooled in his eyes. No I gotta keep strong, for Micheal. You can't fall apart, Tubbo told himself. Tubbo bent down and picked up a picture frame that was lying face down on the ground. He straightened himself and flipped the frame so it faced him. The glass had cracked, but the picture in the frame was safe. Tubbo let out a sigh of relief that the photo had not been ruined. It was a picture of Ranboo and Tubbo on their wedding day. Both men were wearing white suits and the sun had been shining bright that day. I hope that this marriage doesn't fall apart... Tubbo shook his head to clear the depressing thoughts. Stop thinking things like that! He mentally scolded himself. Tubbo sighed and placed the picture frame on the shelf above the burnt out fire place. He continued picking up the few other things he'd thrown. He felt slightly guilty and ashamed that he had let his anger take over him like that. He was just so upset. Ranboo had disappeared for nearly four days, without warning. It worried him sick. The paranoia that he would loose someone else was almost overwhelming. Like when he lost Tommy. He could never go through that again. Ever. He swore to himself on the day of their marriage he wouldn't let that happen to Ranboo. Ranboo had returned today, however and wouldn't tell a Tubbo where he had gone. That's what triggered the argument. It was stupid, though. Ranboo doesn't have to tell Tubbo everywhere he's gone, that part wasn't making him upset. What was making upset is him disappearing without warning! Tubbo felt his fists clench and he had to slowly release them or he was going to get overly angry and throw something again.  Tubbo picked up the last thing, which had been a worn down leather book, and placed it back on the shelf.  Before he climbed up the ladder, he mentally shook himself form negative thoughts so he didn't have to worry Micheal when he went to tuck him in. Tubbo quietly creaked open the trap door and poked his head in. Micheal was lying on his bed, huddle under all his blankets, for it was a colder night than others. He had already fallen asleep. Tubbo smiled.

"Good night, Micheal." He said, before closing the trap door again and climbing down the ladder. He yawned and walked over to a chest and grabbed a flint and steel so he could light the fire place and try to chase away the uneasy chill that kept creeping up his spine. Once the fire had been lit, Tubbo picked up and moved a chair next to the fire, grabbed a blanket and sat down, trying to warm himself. He was going to wait for Ranboo to come back. Not matter how angry he was at him, he still had to be a good husband. A thought suddenly struck him. What if Ranboo was going to disappear again for days at a time? His heart sunk. Not again... he thought, paranoia gathering in his mind. Tubbo got up impulsively and grabbed his coat. He was going to get Ranboo. Not thinking about Micheal, who's as still asleep, he rushed to put on all his winter clothing and gear, so he wouldn't die of hypothermia. He swung open the door and nearly crashed into Ranboo. Tubbo almost laughed with relief.

"Ah! You're okay! I thought you were going to disappear for four days again." He said looked up at him. Ranboo continued to look straight and Tubbo was unable to see his eyes. "Ranboo...?" A sinking feeling gathered in the pit of Tubbo's stomach. "W-what's wrong? Is everything..." Tubbo's sentence drifted as he looked at Ranboo's right hand, which was holding a netherite axe. Tubbo backed up slowly and raised his hands slightly. Now he had a good view of Ranboo's face. His eyes were glowing purple, with ender particles swirling almost elegantly around him. "What the hell...?" Tubbo said, dread now completely filling his stomach.
