It was Saturday morning, which for me is a time to go for my morning jugging.
I wore my pink leggings, a white vest and a white Nike air max,
I was ready to go.
I was half way down stairs when I saw mummy and Aunty modupe
Come in with a strange man wearing a white garment,
holding a very large red candle.
"Mummy good morning" I greeted trying to get on her good side because I did not want to partake in this morning's mass prayer,
I was about to open the door when Aunty Modupe screamed my name "Michelle Tofunmi Adesanya" where are you going?.
I paused for a moment "what" I said to myself, This woman has come again, she just won't let me be.
"Aunty am going for my Usual morning Jugging" I said admist the burning rage in my heart,
"What nonsense" she responded. we are here with "Baba Ajaka" referring to the white garment man, "to pray for you so that you can get married and all you care about is your meaningless jugging".she said looking at me angryly.
"Michelle" my mom called out "listen to your Aunty this thing We are doing is for your own good".
No mother will sit back and watch her first daughter hit thirty without getting married".
She said quietly but I could feel sincerity in her heart.
With this words of hers I decided to stay and partake in any spiritual limbo jumbo this spiritualist had to say.
He puts the large red candle on our center table, tells me to lie
down on the ground,
which i did, he brings out a miserable looking chicken from a black bag and spins it round my tummy ten times.
He now tells every one to close their eyes, then he uses he's hands to lift my white vest, he had nearly unhooked my bra if my dad had not intervened.
"Stop that nonsense!" my dad yelled at him, on hearing my dads voice my mum and my Aunty opened their eyes to see what this spiritualist was about to do.
I too was shocked, "what do you want to do?" my dad asked him,
He responded "I want to suck the demons out of her breast so that she can get married".
"What nonsense" my dad continued, mister man leave my house before I call the police, with this words the supposed spiritualist ran out of our house.

🌹Damian's P.O.V🌹
Saturday is the day of the week I love the most.
From my early morning work out routine to my afternoon visitations from my various friends,
then finally the evening party which I and my close friends Jide, Emeka and Daniel always go to every saturday.
So this particular Saturday i went to Daniels house, he Suggested that we used one of his exotic cars since he seemed to be the richest amongst us.
He drove down liberty lane where Emeka lived.
on getting their We saw jide and his girlfriend Lisa who also brought a girl I did not know but the way she looked at me,
I could tell she was feeling the guy
if you understand what I mean.

"Michelle" my dad called snapping me out of the series of thoughts I was having at that moment in my room.
"Can I come in?" he asked.
He came closer to me putting His hands on my head and drawing me closer to his chest.
"Michelle my daughter" he said "don't let your mother put you through all this spiritual Limbo jumbo".
getting married takes time and perfect maturity that maybe what God in heaven what you to aquire before going to a mans house.
Many Marriages that you think are perfect have either one or two problems.
Some men cheat on their wives, some beat up thier wives while others don't have time for their wives they are too busy chasing money.
Thats why am urging you to take your time and also pray to God to guide your steps, don't ever join your mother in participating in all does spiritual nonsense do you understand?.
"Yes I do" I said having I sign of relief.
thats was why I liked my dad he always knows what to tell you especially during crusial times like this.
As he left my room,I thanked God for giving me such a Wise father indeed he was my hero.
