Chapter Eight: His Past

Tolga and Ozge goes inside Mendi Tower as Tolga's personal assistant, Adalet, greeted them. Mendi Tower was easily one of the biggest buildings in Istanbul with gold windows and guards around the building. The tower has thirty floors with 25-foot ceilings.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Tolga," Adalet said.

"Adalet, are the documents in my office?" Tolga asked.

"I have arranged everything for you, Mr. Tolga. They are in your office," Adalet said.

"Oh, right, Adalet. This is Ozge," Tolga said, gesturing towards Ozge. "My fiance."

"WHAT?" Adalet exclaimed.

Tolga raised an eyebrow as Ozge laughed. Adalet composed herself.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Tolga, it's just very unusual," Adalet said. "When did you decide to get married, Mr. Tolga?"

Tolga sighed. "Do I have to explain every detail of my personal life to you, Adalet?"

"No, Mr. Tolga. I'm sorry," Adalet said.

"Tolga, don't be rude. She was just asking," Ozge said.

Adalet's eyes widened as she looked at Ozge and shook her head in panic.

"Did I ask for your opinion?" Tolga asked Ozge. "Nobody talks to me that way."

"Well, obviously somebody should!" Ozge exclaimed.

Adalet stared at them as they were almost arguing. Tolga calmed himself and chuckled softly. He took Ozge's hand and said, "My love, nobody corrects me."

Ozge touched his collar, giving him a fake smile. "My love, I will correct you if you're wrong. Apologize to Adalet."

Adalet's eyes widened as she looked at Tolga, who was almost bursting with anger.

"Mr. Tolga, it's totally fine, Sir---"

Tolga exhaled sharply. "Adalet, I'm sorry."

"You're very much forgiven, Mr. Tolga!" Adalet said.

Tolga sighed and let go of Ozge's hand.

"Ozge, go with Adalet for today. She will tour you around the building," Tolga said. "Adalet, process Ozge's certificate of employment, Grandma and I will be signing it."

"Right away, Mr. Tolga," Adalet said, then she smiled at Ozge. "Miss Ozge please follow me."

Yaren signed some documents in her office when her boyfriend, Tezcan Berk, came inside and gave her flowers.

"Surprise," Tezcan grinned, giving her the flowers.

"Tezcan," Yaren beamed as she hugged him. "Where have you been? And what are you doing here?"

"I came from the office, my love," Tezcan said, kissing her cheek. "My boss gave me a lot of things to do but I finished them early just to surprise you."

"Thank you," Yaren grinned.

"Yaren?"

They all turned around to see the addition to their meeting. It was Yaren's dad, the president and CEO of Dikmen Industries, Tugay Dikmen.

"Hi, Dad," Yaren smiled, then she kissed her father on the cheek.

"Hi, honey," Tugay said, then he frowned at Tezcan. "Oh, you're here, are you?"

"Dad..." Yaren gave her dad a look. "Tezcan was sweet enough to surprise me by coming her and giving me flowers, please don't say that."

"Alright, alright, I don't need another lecture," Tugay smiled at his daughter. "I just came to remind you of our social media department. We are in need of designers for the logo. Will you help find one, daughter?"
