(Y/N POV)

"Prepare for the future! Our time is now! Forget VR, who needs the Virtual when you can enter Reality with the new; GameTravler!" I press my face against the window as I look at the advertisement for the new GameTravler. "I need it...I need it now!" I headed home to conduct intense research on where the GameTravler is being held. According to the article it's being held at Nintendo Headquarters and being developed by all types of game companies! "Looks like some game companies can actually work together."

I prepare myself for my travel as I arrive outside of Nintendo headquarters. I enter through the front door "Excuse me I'm the Beta Tester for the new GameTravler?" The lady behind the desk nods "The elevator is to your right down the hall" I nod and smile as I do as she says and chuckles to myself "That was easy." I enter the testing room as I get brought over to the room where they have it set up, It's a large TV screen with Super Mario plugged in "Ah! You're here! Come now. Tell me, how does it feel to move to a new world?" I rub my head "Nerving...I dunno what it'll be like." I rub my hand around the screen as it moves like water "Good cause you're never leaving." I turn around "What?" "You didn't read the E-mail? You'll never leave once you go in so we've set you up with a remote control that can take you to any world you want as long as it's a game." I take the remote which looks like a phone "D-don't I get a Tutorial or something?!" "Nope! Now jump through just like Mario 64!" I sigh and dive through the screen. I fly through a void of white as I hear the Iconic Mario theme and the plumber himself speaking over me "Lets-a go!"

I slowly open my eyes as I sit up in the middle of a forest. I look beside myself and see the remote control I was given. I stand up and use the screen to swipe through the games with a red button at the bottom saying 'travel'. I turn the remote off and stuff it in my pocket "Hello?" I jump and turn around "Who goes-" I stop as I see the blonde princess in a pink dress also known as Princess Peach! She looks so much better up close. I'm pretty sure her body was curvier as well. I bow down "Sorry for my rude greeting. I was just surprised." I say as I stand back up "I'm Y/N. I'm a traveler." Princess Peach smiles as she looks up and down my body as I wore casual clothes. A hoodie, grey baggy jeans, and checkered shoes. I smile innocently "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Princess Peach! Princess of this land. Your clothes are very nice. I have something similar in fact. Did you want to come and see? I have no had new guests over in a while, especially from new lands." The princess asks as I nod "Sure, I can't wait to see your hometown."

As we walk, I want to start a conversation so I attempt to talk about something I know "How is Mario? Are you two together?" The Princess giggles "Mario? What an odd name. Is this a joke from your hometown?" I can easily piece together from her response that Mario isn't a thing in this world. It must be a bug in the machine but it's not a bad bug "Oh yeah, sorry. Mario is someone from my home. He's...Italian. Uhm. Anyway...Do you know of anyone named Bowser?" The princess seems distressed "Bowser, is he related to Bowsette?" My heart skips a beat from this shocking news "W-who...?" I question "Bowsette, she's the queen of the Koopa Kingdom. She was once my twin sister and ever since our parents passed away we've fought over who gets to rule both the Koopa and Mushroom kingdom. She always kidnaps me but I always escape." I think it's more than a small bug. But I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I make it to her castle "Very nice. It's pretty!" "Thank you." I notice a picture of her on a glass window "Is that you?" "Yes! It is. My parents made it for me when I became the princess of this kingdom. Me and Bowsette both got to choose our model, I chose a glass window while Bowsette chose...a massive statue of herself." "Yeesh" I respond as the Princess sighs with a gentle nod "Yeah...I know." We enter as I see toads running around and getting work done "What...are those?" "Mushrooms! More commonly known as toads." I follow the Princess up the stairs and through a pair of doors towards her bedroom "Now if you could wait out here while I change." I nod and put my hands into my pocket.

The door swings open as I see the princess in shorts and a pink hoodie. I blush intensely as she holds her arms open "Let's hug!" My heart pounds rapidly as I move in and hug her. She lays her head on my shoulder as realizes that she's only shorter than me by a few inches "I've not hugged someone else in a while. I think I scare most people off with how I act." She grips me tightly as I rub her hair "Not me, princess." She pulls back "Just call me Peach. Now, why not tell me a bit about your world?" I suddenly get an idea "Have you got a knife?" "A knife? Of course...why?" I smirk

I sit down at Peach's desk as I spin the knife around and spread my fingers out "There is an old tradition! A game we all can play, you start by getting liquored up and sharpening your blade! You take a shot of whiskey, grab your knife and pray! Then spread apart your fingers and here is what you say;" The princess watches in shock as I start stabbing the knife between my fingers in rhythm with what I was singing "Oooh I have all my fingers! The knife goes 'chop chop chop'. If I miss the spaces in between my fingers will come off, and if I hit my fingers, the blood will soon come out. But all the same, I play this game cause that's what it's all about!" I spin the knife around as I rest my fingers while I sing to the princess, she starts smiling and clapping to the beat "No you can't use a pencil, cannot use a pen! The only way is with a knife when danger is your friend, and some may call it stupid, some may call it dumb! But all the same, we play the game because it's so damn fun!" As I return to the desk and spread my fingers out, I get ready to sing the chorus with Peach joining in this time "Oooh we have all our fingers! The knife goes 'chop chop chop'. If we miss the spaces in between our fingers will come off, and if we hit our fingers, the blood will soon come out! But all the same, we play this game cause that's what it's all about!" As I move to the final chorus, Peach panics as I speed up "Oooooh! Chop chop chop chop chop chop chop chop! I'm picking up the speed and if I miss the spaces in between my hand will start to bleed! AY!" I stab the knife into the desk and show her my perfectly fine hand. Peach claps as I smile.

"It was an honor Princess but I've got to go back now." "Will you come back?" The princess asks with a concerned face. I nod "Of course, I'll return." She waves bye as I vanish into the forest and open up the remote to swipe through the world "Where to next?"
