"Are you excited?" He asks, his eyes on the road, occasionally glancing over at me.

"What if he finds us?" I reply nervously, ignoring his question

"Then we will fight, together. You're getting a normal life, you deserve it" he smiles,

Despite the reassurance I couldn't stop my mind from running every possible scenario as the rain batters down on the windshield. By the time we had arrived in front of the big brick entrance the weather had cleared a little. The sun was shining through the grey clouds as light rain fell. Surrounded by a never-ending forest, the school was beautiful.

We get out of the car together, making sure to pull my hood over my head just as I hear a hissing sound causing my head to turn and look at my father.

"it's just the rain on my hair, stop stressing," he assures me, opening his umbrella. The flames from his hair appearing as soon as they are shielded from the rain.

"dad, maybe not with the fire, people are staring" my cheeks turning a shade of pink as I try to ignore the heads looking our way. The blue flames faded from his blue hair as he walks toward the boot of the car.

"thank you" I chuckle grabbing my bags from the car before closing the doors and walking with him up the gravel path, into the big building. Passing shocked parents and intrigued children.

Hades was a well know and powerfull dark blood, him being the god of the underworld and all. Not a single light blood has seen him since the war as he was believed to be dead, slain by his own father. But that wasn't the case, after the war when dark bloods went into hiding, he did too.

We wander down the gravel path towards the building containing the dorms. The whispers and stares being all That I can focus on. Locking eyes with a large man standing with what I assumed was his wife and daughter

"Neo, darling. Don't be rude" the middle aged woman gently slaps her husbands chest as he tares his eyes from mine and back to his wife. I can't help but notice his daughter, paying no attention to anyone, her eyes locked on a beautiful, dark skinned brunette girl standing across the grass with her mother.

I turn away before my curiosity gets the better of me as we enter the building towards the dorms. Everyone stopping and staring in awe, while my father basked in the attention he had missed I wanted nothing more than to hid under my bed and never leave. The rumours finally silenced as my father walks with me.

"Room 304," I tell dad as he relishes in the stares, "hello, father dearest. Are you done yet" I ask with a smug face as he chuckles in response.

"Room 304?" I nod and he points to the room a few doors down, as we exit the elevator.

"Thank god, I love you, but you aren't much help with all this attention" he chuckles again as I open the door to my new dorm. Two beds on each side of the room, a desk at the end of each bed, a bedside table next to the beds and a mini fridge In the middle. One side of the room was decorated with photos and plants. Just as I was setting my bag down, the door swings open, giving both me and my father a fright.

"Oh hiiii, I'm Davina, Davina Cato. I guess your my new roommate." The girl comes charging into the room throwing her bag on her bed before hugging me. As she steps back her eyes widen in shock. She looked familiar.

"Darling, maybe don't ambush the new girl" a woman says as she walks into the room carrying more bags.

"Omg sorry. This is my mum, Isolde." she chuckles. Shaking my hand. Just then it hit me, she was the brunette the girl was staring at this with this morning.

"Hades, long time no see." Isolde speaks up hugging my father who hugs her back, massive grins on both their faces.

"You know Hades?" Davina pipes up, eyes wide and moth agape.
