"A skirt really?" I groan. Unlike my old trashy high school, this one has uniforms. It's Tuesday morning and after move in day yesterday I'm exhausted. My 6.30 alarm only worsening my mood. At least this prestigious school has an ensuite bathroom in every dorm, one hot shower later and I was already feeling better.
Woodside's uniform was relatively simple, A white button up and black trousers for the boys, a similar button up and a black pencil skirt for the girls. Finished with black and emerald striped neckties. They did allow us a little freedom, footwear of our choice as long as they're black and our own choice of outerwear. So after struggling to get into my uniform I zip up my black heeled ankle boots and grab my leather jacket.
"Ready now?" Davina asks from her desk as she packs the rest of her books. She's been dressed for 15 minutes already, spending 10 of them watching me wrestle with my tie.
"I think so. Wait, where my notebook?" I start frantically searching before Davina clears her throat, holding the thing I was desperately searching for.
"Is this it?" I sigh in relief, putting it in my bag.
"Let's go." I smile and then we leave to get coffee before classes. Preparing myself for the drama of being Hades daughter and the princess of the underworld.

After hours of sitting around with strangers talking about blood types and magic I was exhausted. Now that word is out about my father the rumours are inevitable, but that doesn't stop them getting on my nerves. My last class is fight skills, which would usually be fun except they were teaching basic combat fighting which I had learned from dad when I was 11. The girl I'm fighting is Nyx, a popular light blood and a pain in my ass already. Her skills were nothing compared to mine but I didn't want to labelled the 'show off' so I'm taking the hits, again and again.
"Come on love, surely your better than that?" Jasper shouts from the sidelines, he was in this class as well and has already won his fight. It was a power free fight to make It more even.
"A little bitch, just like daddy huh?" She smirks before throwing another punch, but this I didn't take the hit, instead I grabbed her wrist wrapping it behind her back in one swift movement. I throw her to the ground kneeling on her back before whispering in her ear.
"Never speak of my father again." And at that I stand releasing her arm, she rolls over and sits up for once last comment.
"Or what?" Regret seemed to wash over her face as soon as my hair lit up. I lift my hands both flaming before forming a ball and throwing it at her, melting her cheap extensions. A smirk on jaspers face as we walk away from the squealing girl.
"That was hot, you know that right?" He laughs, but I'm too focused on the eyes piercing my skull. Expecting to see the mystery boy once more I wasn't disappointed, his smirk evident as he stared at me. What I wasn't expecting though was the same hooded figure from yesterday in the tree line also staring at me.
As we approach the lake side, I sit down with Jasper and the girls as he rants to them about what I had just done. My eyes still set on the hooded figure while my paranoia rushes in. My father has many enemies, most of them stopped looking for him when he was believed to be dead but now that word is spreading of him having a daughter and after all this time being alive, they have found his weakness and they are all arming up once more.
That single hooded figure could be anything, a kid playing a prank, a low-end criminal wanting a paycheck or worst of all, my grandfather. The one man I'm truly terrified of, one who will plan the perfect killing to make my father suffer as much as possible before killing him too.
