Ocean mist gently caressed my face, swirling my lilace hair on its path past me. The blue sky stretched out endlessly into the distance, although the Isle and sky directly above was always filled with dark clouds. The rocky cliffs below my feet, which were dangling dangerously over the edge, were sharp and unforgiving. I knew that if I wanted a permanent escape, it would await me easily there. This train of thought definitely wasn't desireable, so I breathed in the cool air and let it out with a sigh... I knew that my time in brief respite from the chaos of the Isle was coming to an end.

"Hey Mady, you up there?" as much as I loved Harry, this was not the best moment to interrupt me. I mean, at least it was someone I cared about disrupting my brooding than someone random that I could have taken my feelings out on. Since I never really expressed these types of feelings of anger and depression to him, I spent a moment locking them away deep inside before replying,

"Yeah Harry, it's me. Give me a second and I'll join you!" The dangerous trope from the high cliff back to safe ground was difficult, but it was worth it for an escape and some peace. Most people wouldn't even set foot over there just in case their feet slipped and they died tragically, but I had no such qualms with risking myself. Especially when I had abilities that would probably save me if I fell. Actually, maybe I'm getting a little ahead of myself here. You don't even know who I am, much less how I got here. Let's wind this party back a little bit and start at the very beginning...

Hi, I'm Mady, daughter of Maleficent and twin sister to the famous Mal Bertha. You think she would've talked about me before now, but apparently she's too busy with her princess duties to even mention to her princie-poo that I exist. But, once again, I'm getting carried away with my strong emotions. Let's start when we were brought into the world.

Mal and I were born on December 31st to our mother, our father already run off to who know's where, abandoning us to deal with mom's shit full time. From when we were young, she tried to raise us to be tough, fierce, rotten, and evil to the core. Most of the time, she kind of left us to our own devices other than lessons on evil and magic. When we were little, we explored the Isle by ourselves or together.

Later on, we traversed the isle together with the other VK's, but I never really felt like I fit in with them. Honestly, they felt way more like they were Mal's friends than they were mine. Mal and I were pretty close when we were little kids, but as our mom created a more competitive energy around our evil deeds, we grew apart.

As I got older, I even began to hate her sucking up to our mom and her annoying superiority/victim complex. She also aggravated the hell out of me when she acted like she wanted to "hang out with me, like sisters!" We haven't been close in forever, so I know she's just trying to manipulate me.

With all of that background out of the way, let's really jump into the story...

I woke up and stretched, working out all of the kinks and knots from sleeping on a lumpy mattress. Mom always said that a bad nights sleep began the day with an anger that could feed your evil, but I think that it just leaves you tired and depressed. But that could just be me.

I started to get dressed in a black tank top with lacy edges, some black ripped jeans, and a classic purple leather jacket. My style was usually edgy and black with purple accents. The small window in my room looked out on the rooftops of the isle, the sun was just rising, sending rays of orange and godl over the buildings. I usually got up this early because I wanted to avoid Mal, my mom, the rest of the VK's, and their villain parents. The adults usually slept later, but sometimes Mal got up just to try and talk to me; maybe manipulate me into something, I don't know for sure.

I used a rubber band to tie my hair into a low, messy bun, and slung my black leather backpack over my shoulder. It contained all of the essentials I might need while out on the Isle, such as a dagger, snacks, an emergency flare, and extra set of clothes, chapstick, and my phone. I entered the living room after pulling on my combat boots and grabbed an apple out of a fruit bowl on the table. I thought I'd gotten off scot free, but of course my luck ran out,
