"Is everyone ready?" Branch whispered. Everyone nodded. "Good. Now get ready. As soon as the Snature comes down, and opens that door, we run."
The boat stopped, all of them stumbling forwards a little. They caught their balance, looking up, as a Snature walked down the stairs towards them.
"Get ready," Branch whispered. "3...2..."
Suddenly, Spirit collapsed, all of the trolls turning to face her.
"Spirit!" Branch yelled, running over to her, and dropping down to his knees. He stroked her fur, as he cried.
"Come on, Spirit. Wake up," he cried. She didn't wake up. "Help!" Branch screamed to the Snature. "You gotta help! She's hurt!"
The Snature looked over to the cage. "No!" he yelled. "We need that one alive!"
He ran over to the cage, opening it up.
"Please help her," Branch cried. "Don't let her die."
Quickly, the Snature pulled Spirit out of the cage, checking her over. He sighed, looking away sadly. "We lost her," he said. Branch's heart sank, as he dropped down to his knees.
"No!" he cried out. The Snature looked at him, actually feeling sympathetic.
"Listen..." he said, walking over to kneel in front of Branch. "This isn't what was supposed to happen." Branch looked at him, whipping his tears.
"No," he said quietly. "But this is. Spirit! Now!"The Snature turned, seeing Spirit standing behind him.
"Oh no," he said, his eyes wide.
Spirit bit down onto his shirt, whipping him around, and then threw him across the room. He hit the wall, falling to the ground, unconscious.
"Good job, Spirit," Branch laughed, stroking her nose. "Step one of the plan done. Now onto sep two. Everyone! Go open up the cages to free the other Lykers!"
"Yes, sir!" they all shouted, as they ran to free the other Lykers.Branch pet Spirit's head. "You ready?" he whispered. She nodded, and he climbed onto her back.
"Go, Spirit!"
She ran off of the boat, running into the big aquarium.
Spirit walked through the aquarium with Branch on her back.
"Where are the Lyker pools, Spirit? We need to get all the Lykers out of here." She stopped at a closed door, pawing at it, as she whimpered.
Branch stood, climbing up to her head. He looked at the door, took a deep breath, and then jumped, grabbing onto the handle.
The handle twisted under his weight, the door swinging open.
Spirit walked through the door, leaving Branch hanging from the handle.
"Ugh... Spirit... a little help, please." He looked down, seeing the floor far bellow his feet. He gulped, terrified of falling. "Spirit!" he yelled, begging her to come back, but she didn't.
"Fine!" he shouted. "I'll... ugh... just hang around her for a while..."
Spirit walked through the room, looking at the Lykers, as they floated sadly in their pools. She chirped to them, and they all looked up, their eyes widening at the sight of her being free.
She barked, chirping again. She was saying; "this is a break out! Come with me if you want to live!"
The Lykers cheered, struggling out of the pools.
Spirit went around, helping the older Lykers climb out, and once everyone was free, she howled, as they all started to run towards the exit.
"Just call me angel, of the morning angel," Branch sang, quietly, as he hung from the door. "Just touch my cheek before you leave me baby. I'm hanging from this handle angel. And I want to get down right now baby." He sighed looking around.
"Spirit!" he called out. "My arms are getting tired!" She didn't come out. "Ugh..." Branch groaned. "What is taking her so long?"
Suddenly, the pack of Lykers came bursting through the door Branch was hanging from.
"AHHHHH!" Branch screamed, as he was flung off the door, falling to the floor. "Oof!" he groaned, landing on his butt. He looked up at the Lykers trampling past him.
"AHHH!" he screamed, several of them almost stepping on him, as they ran past. He tried to get out of the way, but one of them accidentally kicked him, knocking him onto his stomach.
"Help!" he screamed out, covering his head with his arms.
Just then, Spirit ran past, scooping him up by the back of his vest. He looked up at her, as he dangled from her mouth, smiling.
"You did it Spirit!" he shouted, joyfully. "You freed the Lykers!"
