Chapter 9 - Timeless

Sarah's POV

Barry and I were still at the Speed Lab, shocked by what Nora did. Alexa is dead.

She's dead," I said and looked at Nora angrily. "You killed Alexa. What the hell is wrong with you?! Why would you kill her?!"

Barry and I did it together," Nora told me as I stood up. "That was the only way. She was the strongest. I needed every ounce of power, including your strength to kill her.

I'm supposed to protect lives, not destroy them!" Barry yelled at her.

I'm helping you clean up your mess, Barry," Nora argued. "This is your fault. The night you brought me back, you created these monsters. You and your lightning rod.

Barry and I glanced at each other. We were shocked. We didn't know we created the forces.

When you regained your speed, I wasn't the only thing you two willed into existence," Nora mentioned.

That's impossible," I said.

Really?" Nora asked me and turned to Barry. "Alexa was afraid to come here, but she trusted you. Why? Because deep down, she could feel a connection with you. The same connection that you feel with me now. But, these new forces? They way they've merged with the people they chose as avatars? It's corrupted them because it's unnatural. But once the other two are gone.

I won't help you kill again," Barry told her.

Oh..." Nora shook her head. "My beautiful boy. You have no choice. Because if you don't, those things will kill everyone you've sworn to keep safe. Is that what you want?"

Barry didn't answer.

Then, please, Barry, help me," Nora pleaded.

No," Barry told her.

You have to help me, damn it!" Nora snapped as electricity was all over her.

Nora, stop," I said.

Electricity from her body was gone.

I will destroy those other forces, Barry," Nora announced. "With or without your help. Then you'll see that I'm right." She vanished then.

Barry and I looked at each other worriedly.

Barry and I put Alexa in the medbay. We called the team and told them that Nora betrayed us and she killed Alexa.

Caitlin scoffs. "What a day," She said. "First, Frost and Ice are sent to Iron Heights for life, and now Alexa's dead.

Tell me about it," I said. "I can't let this happen again. We need to stop Nora before she causes chaos.

I'll get to work," Caitlin said. "I need to figure out how Nora was able to..."

Kill a god?" Cisco finished her sentence.

She could because she had help," Barry said.

Barry, she tricked you," Iris told him.

No, she manipulated me, just like she's been doing the whole time," Barry countered.

Babe, I know how you feel, But not everything she did and said was a lie," I said to him. "I mean, there were moments that felt real too. That must mean—"

Sarah, we can't trust her anymore," Barry cut me off.

What about what Nora said about you two creating the other forces?" Caitlin asked us.

Barry shook his head. "I mean, there's no proof," He said.

Well, what if we find out if Nora's telling the truth?" Cisco suggested. "If she is, then that means the other forces would have been born the same day she was.
