Come With Me

I can't believe I just did that. That was probably the hardest thing I've done besides getting into college. Stealing the gem wasn't easy, having to sneak past all the Toxin guards. I have to make it back to the hideout before they find me and get the others.
"Ezekiel, dude, why did you bring all your stuff?" Helios asked as he slid his book into his brown backpack. Ezekiel brought two extremely large bags filled with who knows what.
"Rune texted me to be prepared, so I am prepared," Ezekiel said as he lifted his bags as if they were weights. "I thought he texted all of us to be prepared."
Calio pointed out the window, "Guys! I see Rune coming in! But He seems tired though." Calio was watching from the window waiting for Rune to return.
Rune rushed in, "We have to run." Rune grabbed his bag and his coat. "Hurry up, we don't have all the time in the world." Rune was struggling to catch his breath. Calio moved closer to him trying to get him to tell him what happened. Calio froze in his steps when he realized what he had in his hands. Rune had to explain himself now. "I stole the gem. I want my city back." Rune shoved his bag with cans of food.
"We all want Aporia back, but are you sure this was the right thing to do? You're endangering all of us. Have you ever thought about us? We could lose each other," Helios said as he put his hand on Calio's shoulder.
"You guys don't have to come with me. I never wanted to risk losing you guys but if you want your city back, then come with me." Rune said facing everyone as he finally got his stuff together. No one was watching outside to notice that the Toxin empire found their location. They saw red laser beams shoot into their hideout. Rune ran over to Calio to push him down. Ezekiel and Helios were both on the floor already. The Toxins stopped shooting to make their way into the hideout.
"We have to go now. Grab what you can and let's go," Helios whispered and pointed at the back window. They quickly grabbed their bag and crawled out the window before the shooting started again. They ran till they found safety.
