A/N: Again, this is pretty much all smut, with a little bit of feelings :) Sorry for the wait! Enjoy!
Stiles nervously bounced on the balls of his feet while standing on the curb outside the diner. He'd gotten off a few minutes early, so Derek wasn't there yet. Stiles texted him as he waited, trying to think about anything except what they were about to do. He didn't need to be getting excited standing outside his work. Especially not when the door chimed behind him and someone came out to stand beside him on the curb.
"Hey," Danny greeted him softly, meeting Stiles's eyes with a warm smile. "Need a ride home?"
Stiles felt the heat rush to his cheeks as he shook his head. "Someone is on their way to pick me up," Stiles assured him, hoping Danny couldn't see how red his face probably was. "But thanks. I appreciate you," he added, leaning into Danny's side as Danny rolled his eyes and wrapped an arm around Stiles's shoulders.
"He better be good to you," Danny sighed, squeezing Stiles's shoulders in a weird side hug. Stiles chuckled and turned to face Danny, giving him a reassuring look. He knew what he was doing. At least, he was pretty sure he did. "I mean it, Stiles. You deserve the best."
"You're such a sap," Stiles chuckled, wrapping his arms around Danny's waist to hug him properly. "I'm glad we're still friends, Danny. I don't know what I'd do without you sometimes."
A pair of headlights distracted Stiles as he realized Derek was pulling up to the curb. Danny watched Derek park, his arms still tight around Stiles's shoulders. Derek's window rolled down as Stiles began untangling himself from Danny's hold. "That him?" Danny asked, pulling Stiles back in, as if trying to make Derek jealous. Stiles rolled his eyes at the gesture, knowing it wouldn't work. Derek wouldn't care if Stiles was seeing other people, seeing as they weren't dating. "The guy from earlier?"
"Yeah, Derek," Stiles replied, giving in and letting Danny keep holding him close to his chest. "We're nothing serious. Just hanging out," Stiles admitted, hiding his red cheeks by burying his face against Danny's chest.
"Stiles," Derek said, his voice short and clipped. "Get in."
"Coming," Stiles promised, giving Danny a firm pat on the back as Danny finally let him go. "Talk later?" he said to Danny, keeping his voice down even though Derek could still hear him.
Danny frowned, glancing at Derek before meeting Stiles's eyes again. "He's a real prince charming," he retorted sarcastically, giving Stiles a disapproving look.
"Calm down," Stiles replied reassuringly, squeezing Danny's waist before stepping towards Derek's car. "Get home safe, Danny." Stiles got into Derek's car, leaning through the open window to give Danny a smile. Danny frowned even more, sighing as Stiles waved goodbye. Soon, Danny was out of sight and it was just Stiles and Derek, alone again. Stiles suddenly remembered Derek's words earlier, over the phone. He was getting excited just thinking about it. "How was your day?" Stiles wondered, trying to hide how much he was ready to get home and rip Derek's clothes off.
Derek glanced over at Stiles, his hands gripping the steering wheel tighter than necessary. Stiles noticed he seemed a little off, but didn't mention it. "We don't have to make small talk," Derek insisted, keeping his eyes on the road now.
Stiles licked his lips nervously, thinking he'd done something to make Derek upset. "Yeah, I guess not," he answered coolly, even though it sort of hurt that Derek didn't even want to talk to him. Stiles knew they weren't friends, but he thought they had some kind of connection. Derek was easy to talk to normally, and Stiles even enjoyed talking to him when they weren't having sex. Though the sex was the main reason they even saw each other, so Stiles figured Derek was thinking the same thing. "Thanks for the ride home," Stiles added, just because he couldn't stand the awkward silence.
