Chapter Seven

Elise's pov

"A cat? Where?" I ask, stepping in front of where Parsley has stuck her head out from under the bed.

"Right there!" Niall says, pushing me out of the way and bending down to stroke Parsley. She squeals and retreats back under the bed. "Did you know there was a cat in here?"

I exchange a nervous look with Zayn. "Oh, uh, no, she must be the hotel's cat, or something." I lie.

"Elise, you're really bad at lying." Zayn whispers in my ear.

Niall gasps. "A real hotel cat! I've never seen one before! Paul should have told us that the hotel had a hotel cat!!!!!!" He exclaims, totally buying my lie. Parsley slowly comes out from the other side of the bed and freezes in place when Niall walks toward her with outstretched arms. He picks her up despite her wriggling and meows of protest.

"HELP ME! WHO IS THIS?!" Her meows translate in my head.

"Let's go show her to the others!" Niall starts heading for the door. I jump in front of the door to stop him.

"Okay fine so she's my cat! I'm sorry I kept this secret from you and brought a cat on our trip but I couldn't just leave her there!"

"Yeah you could've..." Zayn grumbles quietly.

Niall stares at me in shock. Parsley has stopped wriggling and making noise and is slowly stretching out a paw to attack Niall's ear. "Hey, ow!" He exclaims as she bats at it with sheathed claws.

"Come on now, she's just playing." I defend my cat, taking her out of Niall's arms.

"How could you keep this from us? How long have you had her?" Niall hesitates and turns to Zayn. "Did YOU know?" Zayn reluctantly nods.

"I didn't really have a choice, Niall! I can't have a cat on the trip, your managers would have to book all new hotels that allowed pets and stuff! And I couldn't just leave her, she needed me! Please Niall you have to keep my secret!" I beg.

"You're leaving out the part where you bought her at the mall AFTER we agreed to bring you on our trip." Zayn reminds me.

I glare at him. "You guys OFFERED to take me with you after SOMEONE took me against my will!"

"That SOMEONE is an idiot and shouldn't have taken you, but you agreed to come on the trip instead of going home in a cab, and then you bought a kitten with the money we gave you!" Zayn argues.

"Louis is not an idiot!" Niall protests, but Zayn ignores him.

"And you just EXPECTED us not to find out over the weeks this trip will take? How thick do you think we are?"

"The hotels we stay in are pretty fancy and they all allow pets, so that isn't really a problem..." Niall says quietly.

"I don't even know you! I have no idea how thick you are, but since it took you this long to find out, I'm guessing pretty thick!"

"YOU GUYS!" Niall yells. Zayn and I shut up and turn to him. Then a knock comes at the door.

"Is everything all right in there?" Paul asks from the other side of the door.

"Yeah, sorry, everything's fine!" I say.

"Okay, well if you need anything..."

"Thanks Paul, I'll call for you if I do!" And with that, Zayn and I turn back to Niall, who is stroking Parsley in my arms.

"Zayn, I agree we should tell the boys, but the thing is the secret is not ours to tell. If Elise wants to keep it a secret we can't stop her. Elise, if you want to room with me instead of Zayn, that's fine." Niall explains.

"Yeah, I think I'll do that." I agree.

"My room is right next door. That's how I heard you two shouting." He says as he walks out the door and shuts it behind him.

"I'll be there soon."

Authors note

I'm sorry for never updating; it's just that I'm really busy now and lost almost all interest in writing my stories I have up on wattpad. I've heard of people giving their story to others for them to finish it when the original writer looses interest, but I can never let someone else finish my work. My story is my story.

Again I'm sorry but this story is basically on hold. The only thing that motivates me to write is when someone comments.

So with that, I'll see you guys in a few months (or more)!
