chapter 5

Dear diary,
So like the worst thing happened the other night;let me explain,
So Zack and Dylan were dropping me home after the big fiasco that went down at the party, when a woman weirdly walked out our house and then started running when she saw us.

Now I personally was scared because I know I left Nicky home alone and all I could think of was somebody kidnapping her, but the woman didn't run out with any child which made me even scareder.

When we saw that, we all ran inside to see who was there and to check on Nicky.

To our surprise we saw our step father,drunk on the chair and cigar smoke all in the air.

We stood in shock, when a few seconds later our mother came through the door and almost got a stroke from the setting in front of her.
She dropped everything she had in her hands including the groceries and her work bag which she had her laptop in, and started to scream and shout after him.
They got in a big argument and my stepfather just took his keys and left.
Then she took a rock and threw it at the moving car and then went in her room and locked the door.

I would've knocked and asked if she was ok but I knew she would start shouting after me for leaving Nicky home alone and going to a party dressed the way I'm dressed, so I just went and check on Nicky to see if she was alright,but she was crying, so I took her and went and sat outside with her to calm her down.

I think we were all uncomfortable with the situation,and Zack probably felt it too, so he offered for us to stay at his house for the night since there obviously was a lot of tension going on in the house right now.

So we went and pack our things and headed over to his house,and Zack being the amazing person that he is, stopped the party just for us to get settled.
