Brother's Friend Group

Surprise?

Hera's POV:

I pull up to the little diner that sits right in the middle of downtown and I put my car in park. I take a deep breath and get out heading towards the door. I feel the eyes on me of people passing by as I open the door and head in. I see my brother and two guys sitting at a booth in the back. I head towards them but am stopped when a young girl in an apron stops me.

"Hello Sweetheart can I get you a menu and a table?" She questions looking at me. I can tell there is curiosity in her eyes as she roams her eyes over me. I smile at her "No thank you I actually am looking for someone." I say looking at my brother. As I speak he lifts his head and his eyes go wide.

I smile and wave at him. I haven't seen Chris since he left at 18 and I left for college soon after that. Chris gets out of his seat and comes over to me. Forgetting the lady I step around her and meet him halfway. He picks me up in a big hug before setting me back on the ground. He steps back and looks me over.

"Have you gotten taller?" he jokes ruffling my long brown hair. I punch his arm and laugh. "No I honestly think I shrunk with all the coffee I drank during the late nights of studying." I say laughing. He looks at me and smiles. "H, you've grown so much" I give him a slight smile and shrug.

He guides me over to where he was sitting with his friends and introduces me. "Guys this is my younger super smart sister Hera." I smile at the two guys that are giving off the same don't mess with me vibes. "This is Axel and Leo, we run the business together." My brother adds pushing me into the booth against the window. Axel smiles at me while Leo just ignores me completely.

I smile back at Axel and look around the little diner. It's not super busy but something tells me that since it's a Monday morning they don't get busy during the weekday mornings. I return my gaze back to my brother and his friends. Axel and Chris are talking about the security business they own.

I stare at Leo as he is looking at his phone. I notice the sun hitting his dark black hair making it almost look blue. I notice the little mole on his upper lip on the left side and I smile lightly. He's really cute, scratch that he is majorly attractive. He looks up and meets my gaze.

His deep gray eyes stare at me and harden. I smile lightly and look back towards my brother. He smiles at me and directs the conversation at me. "So H, why did you move from beautiful Colorado to mucky Kentucky?" My brother says laughing as he rhymes mucky and Kentucky.

I stiffen for a brief moment and then relax. "I wanted a change. Life was kinda stuffy there and I wanted to experience something new." I say shrugging as if it's no big deal that I just picked up and moved myself.

My brother believes me because he doesn't question it and changes the topic. We all sit and talk for a little while longer before they decide to head out. I follow behind the three guys and head the opposite way from them towards my car.

"Hera wait!" my brother yells running towards me across from the lot I parked my car. He stops in front of me "Where are you staying?" He asks looking at the car I recently bought right before I moved. "Um probably at the little bed and breakfast I saw up the road until I find a house or apartment or something." I say shrugging. He stops for a moment and then he smiles. "You can stay in the guest bedroom at our house if you'd like?" He says looking at the guys.

"Oh I don't want to impose on your little bachelor pad." I say laughing and he joins in. "Look I will ask the guys and if they say yes you are staying. " He says not waiting for and answer and jogging back to the two guys standing by the car. They talk for a second and he gives me a wide smile. He signals for me to follow the guys and I get in my car.

I follow the guys for about 10 minutes and they pull up to a cute 2 story house with dark colored shudders. I park on the street in front of the house and get out. My brother grabs the bags out of my hands and leads me inside behind the other guys.
