"COFFEE FOR you, Miss Madriaga,"
"Thank you, Sir."
"Don't thank me. Trent bought that coffee for you," Sir Andres replied, with a meaningful smile. I just smiled a little.
"Trent is a very nice guy,"
"Yes, I agree po Sir," I said before sipping from my cup of coffee. Sir Andres was looking at me weirdly. I knew naman na Trent likes me because he kept on dropping hints on me and he was not actually discreet with his sweet gestures towards me. Even sila Curtis, they notice how Trent is very sweet and thoughtful to me.
"Are you dating someone?" nasamid ako dahil sa biglang tanong ni Sir Andres. He handed me a napkin and I wiped my lips.
"Are you okay? Sorry, did I startle you with my question?" He asked, then he chuckled softly.
"I'm okay lang Sir," I replied. Mabuti nalang I didn't spill my hot coffee on myself! Sir Andres is a really nice boss, but sometimes he's chismoso rin talaga. Hindi halata na chismoso siya but I always caught him eyeing me when Cash is coming to my office. Or maybe it's my fault din because I let Cash lock the door and shut all the blinds at my office, which made it seem like we were doing something here tuloy.
I was about to leave when Sir Andres started talking again.
"So..." he trailed off again. "Are you single or in a relationship?" he asked while wiggling his eyebrows at me.
I laughed softly because I felt kind of awkward. Ang hirap din pala when your boss is too friendly because there is a tendency for them to ask personal questions and you feel like you must answer them just because they're your boss.
I feel obligated to answer him tuloy!
Sana pala mag hire pa sila ng another employee sa HR department. It's just me and Sir Andres lang kasi because apparently the other employee raw kasi who works here rin is on a cruise raw and she'll be back pa in a few months.
"I'm... single Sir," I gave up and answered him. Mukha kasing hindi niya ako papaalisin until I answer him kaya I just gave in.
He smiled widely at me. I just smiled back nalang before going back to my office.
I sighed before I slumped my body into my swivel chair and rested my eyes. Kanina pa kasi ako nakatutok sa computer kaya medyo sumasakit iyong mata ko.
I was resting when I heard someone knocking at my door. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. I swear, if this is Sir Andres talaga!
"Hi," Cash greeted me when I opened the door. He wasn't smiling. His tie was loose and his hair dishevelled. He looks exhausted and grouchy. I saw Sir Andres looking at us kaya I held Cash's arm and pulled him inside my office.
He sat on the chair in front of my desk, and I sat across from him. His back was resting against the chair while he was massaging the side of his head.
