"FUCK, WERE YOU STANDING THERE THE WHOLE TIME"

Annabeth yelled, immediately halting all movement, and pounced to the radio, slamming down on the "pause" button.

The loud, upbeat Justin Timberlake song on the Billboard's Top 20 Hits playlist was now replaced with a suffocating silence, and the smell of freshly baked blue chocolate chip cookies that floated in the space between them.

"Maybe" Percy replied, casually leaning against the doorway of the kitchen.

Despite the attempt at a cool demeanor, Percy thought he had failed to hide his conflicted reactions.

The first was surprise; his eyebrows couldn't help but lift at the sight of his girlfriend cooking and dancing at the same time, two things Percy had almost never seen her do before.

Upon the initial shock, Percy couldn't help but feel a bit amused, feeling the corners of his mouth curl up slightly. Only a few seconds ago, Annabeth had totally let loose, jumping around and throwing her hands in the air to the beat. Granted, they weren't the best dance moves, but Percy found them just as endearing anyway.

The third and last part of his reaction, was the most unexpected, and made his cheeks flush pink. Before Annabeth noticed his presence, Percy's eyes trailed down her oversized t-shirt, one that traveled just past her hips, while she danced, noticing the way it raised up every time she lifted her arms, revealing a bit more than what Percy had anticipated.

Now, watching Annabeth's flushed expression staring at him from the other side of the island kitchen table, eyes wide with shock, her chest rising and falling more rapidly as heavy puffs of air escaped her open lips, he thanked the Gods that she was probably too mortified at his discovery to detect any of his physical reactions to her little dance party.

Now, all she was seeing of him was his cool, collected poker-face, only a few feet away from hers.

Annabeth bit her lip, Percy's eyes noticing how her bottom teeth trapped the soft, pink flesh, molding it.

She opened her mouth, stepping forward slightly. "Percy, I-"

Percy shushed her, making Annabeth frown slightly and look up at him as he moved around the table, closing the distance between them. He pulled her in by the back of her head; with her arms raised, her fisted hands were pressed between their chests.

"The cookies smell good." He remarked quietly, eyeing the tray on the table, resting his chin on top of her golden curls.

"Thanks" he heard her mumble into his shirt, her voice barely audible.

After a few serene moments, Percy broke the silence. "I thought you looked cute." He said, hands trailing down to wrap around her waist.

"...and sexy" he finished quietly, pulling back slightly to wiggle his eyebrows at her.

This made Annabeth final let out a laugh, the high shrill that Percy grew to adore, as she wrapped her arms around his waist, burying her noise in his shirt once again.

"No you didn't" she mumbled. "It's true!" Percy yelled, as she laughed agin.

"Tell you what" he pulled back, leaning down to peck her on the lips before reaching behind her to grab a cookie, still warm from the oven.

Breaking a piece off in his mouth, he chewed. "How about I go take a shower and then I can show you some of my moves?" He suggested, his intentions serious but his tone playful.

"Your moves, huh?" She retorted, the daring glint reemerging in her irises.

"Yeah" Percy said through a lazy smile, snaking his hands around her hips.

She leaned up on her tip toes to give him a kiss, deeper this time, and Percy's hand found its way to the back of her head to prolong the moment, before Annabeth pulled back.

"Although..." he trailed off: the mischievous look on his face should have been enough of a warning.

"I don't think mine will be as good as your moves." He said through a devilish grin.

Annabeth's eyes widened, as she let out a gasp in disbelief, her hand flying up to smack his arm.

She was a second too late, however, as Percy had already scrambled out of reach, shoving the rest of her cookie in his mouth.

"Love you, babe! Thanks for the cookies." He yelled through a mouthful as he ran up the stairs.

"Yeah, right, Seaweed Brain." Annabeth shook her head, muttering to herself.

Despite herself, however, she could stop the smile from surfacing on her face, leaving her to stand there grinning like an idiot.
