(Morgan's p.o.v)

Pulling up to the CDC all the cars slowed to a stop and everyone slowly filtered out of them with their bags in hand. Stepping out of the car I was hit with a godawful smell making me gag. "Jesus." I muttered as Daryl came to my side with his bag and crossbow in hand.

"Hey, Morg!" Shane whisper-yelled to me trying to stay quiet so he didn't attract any walkers. "Here." Shane handed me my bag along with my bow and quiver.

"Thanks." I muttered to him throwing my bag over my shoulder along with my quiver. I took an arrow from my quiver and notched it into my bow.

"All right, everybody. Keep moving. Go on." Shane instructed as he and Rick took to lead. the next few moments were filled with 'keep moving.', 'go on', 'come on', and 'shh', as we made our way to the doors of the CDC. "Keep it together. Come on." Shane instructed as we were finally a few feet away from the doors.

"We're almost there, baby." Lori whispered to Carl. My gaze shifted from the door to them, Carl was buried deep into Lori's waist as they walked and her arm was slung around him protectively. The sight sent a pang through my heart.

Flashback

"All right, all right, all right!" I smiled as I watched Ivan pulling back the string to the small trainer's bow I got him so he could practice. "Good job, baby!" He turned his head to me and gave me a beaming smile. "Okay, now that you can pull it back... You can start shooting!"

"Really?!" Ivan beamed with joy and let the string go by accident. The string flew back to its original stance and snapped Ivan's arm. "Ow!" Ivan cried and turned his head back to his arm.

"Ooo-- that string gotcha good." I mumbled as I took his arm and looked at it. "You still up for shooting?" I asked as I looked up at his face, he nodded vigorously with a smile plastered on his face. "All right." I got up and went back to the car, grabbing his arrows and target from the truck. I walked back to Ivan and walked about two yards in front of him. "This should be a good enough distance." I set the target down and walked back to Ivan. Ivan reached out for the arrows but I pulled them back. "There's a few things you need to learn before you shoot." His hand fell back to his side and he nodded. I Kneeled down in front of him and looked him in the eyes. "You must always protect your people; Show no fear; Respect your elder; Teach the young; Lead your companions; adapt to your environment; Never back down; And leave your mark everywhere you go." I Finished my statement and gave him a nod. "These are the rules of life. Not just the rules of shooting or hunting. Do you understand?" Ivan straightened out his back and nodded firmly.

"I promise to always go by those rules. No matter what." He promised, a strong look over his face. I smiled at him and ruffled his hair before pulling him into my chest and hugging him.

"Good boy. Now, here you go." I handed him his first arrow and he notched it into his bow. He pulled back the bow and positioned the bow to try and hit the target. He squinted as he aimed, finally he let it go and it flew. Flying straight past the target and into the woods.
