"Mom, I think your new groom is here."
"Oh, perfect. I'll get Rick out here to take a peek and see what she's about. I need to get dressed I have a park class."
I overheard this short conversation, only after it was finished I realized that the young man was talking about me.
"Sorry for holding you up. The name's Rick. Here to ask you a few questions." The older man told me.
As I contemplated what I was going to say, my brain was filled with other things. So, what I said wasn't desirable.
"Hi. I'm Gia-Gianna," I shook my head, thinking about my stutter there and laughing, remembering the novels I'd read. "I didn't read that you had to have experience.. and I'm really in need of a job. I do learn quickly and I'm not allergic to horses! I promise I'll-."
"I think I have my decision made."
I almost burst into tears, not knowing myself as the sensitive type, but knowing how important and how rare this opportunity was.
"Sorry for wasting-." I almost said, surprised when I was interrupted again.
"You're in. Talk to Luke and he'll give you the rundown about this all. Three strikes, newbie."
"Yes sir!" I said, excitedly. Now I just needed to figure out who exactly Luke was.
"Luke's in the corner, by the way." Rick told me, noticing the confused expression on my face and my eyes, searching the crowd.
