School. One of the way too many things that makes me feel like I am in Hell. I'm not necessarily a bad student, though. I just.. don't like school. I have decent grades, straight Bs. Better than most the kids in my grade, at least.

I was about to go to class when I realized I couldn't. Someone was bound to notice me walking home which you are not allowed to do, and send me back. Then they'd call my mother who'd tell them, over exaggerating the fact I am a runaway or some kind of other sap stories she has.

-
The city of Phoenix was a place I never wanted to leave, or planned to leave. However recent events may have given me an open mind on that one. As the hot breeze rushed through my hair, I sped up my pace, eager to go..someplace. But before I could zone out and continue to walk I caught sight of a sign.

It was vibrant, and almost every person on the street was glancing at it. I walked up to it, only to see the words that would change my life. Not that I knew that yet.

-
This sign was a copy paper with a couple words drawn on saying "Help Needed" with a horse picture below it. "2-6 through 2-13" and the address. I ran my finger over the paper, thinking about the possiblities. They were endless, really. I then thought about how much I could be paid. I didn't know anything about the Saddlebred at the time and decided to walk to the address. I had been walking with my bike to my right, afraid to use it because its brakes were insanely sensitive. I whispered to myself "C'mon you got this Gianna. Just breathe and start biking."

-
The ride was long and I felt exhausted by the time I arrived at the address, but I couldn't stop here. "It's okay Gia. Sit down and then I can go from there." I mumbled to myself.

After a little while of just sitting, twiddling my thumbs and tapping the cool concrete, I decided it was time to go in. By that time I had caught my breath and had controlled my nervousness to the best of my ability.

-
As I walked into the large property, I took in the barns and the arenas after at least a minute of gaping at the sight. I continued to walk to the barn it had said to come to or "Barn C". I saw horses double the size of me with their necks laying up even when the riders didn't do anything. It was so interesting to see, given as I was a notorious city girl.

I walked past the "A" barn and saw a curtain saying "Aloha Stables" with a framed photo of a fancy Saddlebred. Barn "B" was named "Shabaan Equestrian Center" with a clip art style image of a park Saddlebred. And finally, I approached Barn "C" which was named "Stachowski Farms". This was where the paper said I needed to be. With a nervous mindset, and a prayer whispered, I walked into the barn.
