Waverly was following after Dracula, making mental notes as he listed off ideas for Mavis' birthday party, "What if you let her pick, Drac." She sighed, almost bumping into him as he suddenly stopped walking, turning to face her. She was certain he had a look of disbelief on his face before he chuckled, "No, no, she doesn't know what she wants for her birthday! It's better for me to do all the planning - the zombie band with zombie Mozart, Beethoven and Bach will play the music, Quasimodo will make a wonderful cake-" She started to tune him out as they started down the staircase so Dracula could begin greeting hotel, and party, guests.
"Welcome to Hotel Transylvania! Human-free since 1898! Your safest destination." He began once they entered the lobby, arms open wide as he continued walking. Waverly always struggled to keep up with him despite almost being the same height, "Take an itinerary, I have personally designed a spectacular schedule of events, all leading to my daughter's birthday extravaganza tomorrow." Waverly genuinely loved Mavis so much, so she just had to hope the so called extravaganza was something she'd actually enjoy.
"We always look forward to coming every year, Count." "We enjoy the safety so much!" A gremlin couple spoke, smiles clear in their voices as Dracula walked around, handing out pamphlets for the events tonight and the party tomorrow. "Of course, that's why we built it."
While he continued greeting guests, Waverly moved to the sidelines, dodging monsters left and right to make it to the rotating doors just in time for the wolf pack to come bursting through, their parents right behind them. "Hey, kids, reel it in. . . You're only supposed to make mom and dad miserable." Wayne muttered while Wanda was busy giving apologetic smiles to the monsters around them.
Waverly was stood beside a visiting monster who was quickly swept up and away by a blur of fur, though she was left alone, her hair getting pushed to the side with how fast the wolf pups moved. She started walking again only for one of the wolf pups to run behind her, trying to hide from a sibling.
Easily, Waverly knelt down and picked up the pup, realizing it was the only girl, Winnie, "Leave your sister alone." She spoke gently to the other wolf pup, who was happy to run off and cause chaos somewhere else. She stood up, still holding onto Winnie, "Hey there, aren't you just adorable."
"Well, I haven't heard that in a while, but glad you noticed, babe." She turned her head, the wolf pup in her arms growling before jumping out of her arms, scurrying off. Waverly found the familiar outline of the Invisible Man beside her, and if she focused enough, she could see him smiling wildly, "Not too bad yourself." He added as she shook her head.
"Hi, Griffin." She smiled watching as his shimmering outline started glowing a brighter orange than a normal humans, after all, the Invisible Man was indeed a human treated as a monster, "You haven't been around in a while, starting to worry you'd forgotten me." She joked, hearing him gasp, a hand coming up to his chest, "Forget you? No way, Waves, I could never forget you. I was just, y'know, busy with stuff." He shrugged as she smiled, feeling her face flush a bit.
He suddenly clapped his hands together, "Here, here, I've been wanting to do this for a while- Watch this- or- y'know what I mean!" She watched as he walked off casually towards Dracula, Wayne and Wanda, along with the new addition of Frank. . . 's head. She followed after a few seconds, joining them quietly as Dracula started questioning the zombies on if they knew how to put a Frankenstein back together.
"Hey, Drac, buddy, what's going on with your cape?" Wayne pointed out, holding onto Frank's head as Griffin held up the vampires cape, flapping it around. Waverly was smiling wide, though quickly hid it behind her hand as Dracula turned his attention to behind him, jolting away at suddenly getting pinched, "Who pinched me??" "Guilty! You're irresistible!" Griffin chuckled.
