13 | Dreams and Comfort

Kenma yelled and screamed as Ren repeatedly punched, kicked, stabed, hurt him. "You deserve this. This pain is nothing, it shouldn't hurt. YOUR WEAK." he heard multipule voices saying. Some sounded familiar, some he's never heard before. He yelled for his lover, but as he looked around, all he saw was darkness. He closed his eyes and when he opened them, Ren was gone. He was now where Kuroo confessed his feelings for Kenma. He walked around and eventually saw Kuroo. "KURO-" he yelled until he saw a woman walking towards Kuroo, holding the hand of Nagisa, his son. Kenma was confused. Kuroo kissed the woman, handing her flowers. He didn't once look at Kenma. Kenma felt hurt, not knowing what to do or say. "Mommy, who's that?" Nagisa asks the woman, pointing straight at Kenma. "I don't know, honey." she says. "Let's go, my love." Kuroo says, holding the womans hand. Kenma sees they both have matching wedding rings, rings that looked simular to Kenma's. He looked down at his ring and cried. The ring suddenly dropped off Kenma's finger, and rolled onto the floor. Kenma reached for it , but it was suddenly crushed by a foot. Kenma looked at the broken ring in terror. He sobbed. He looked up at the person who crushed the ring and it was Kuroo. "Kuro?-" Kenma quietly said before being cut off. "I can't believe I married you. Crushing that ring was a relief. Your so weak, you can't protect yourself, or anyone in fact. All you do is cause stress on all of us. Your such a burden to me. I HATE YOU." Kuroo yells, his words becoming louder and louder in Kenma's head. "Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP. YOUR NOT KURO." Kenma yells. Kuroo disappears and a new scene appears. He's now at his old highschool. He looks around and sees familiar faces. He's met with Kuroo looking at him. He's wearing his graduation robe and cap. He gives Kenma a hug, though his hug doesn't seem like his. It's cold and doesn't show much affection. He looks at him, emotionless. Kuroo waves him a goodbye, then walks away. Tears form in Kenmas eyes. He remembers this moment. It was a moment he hated reliving, it was unbearable. It was one of the first times Kuroo left his side. "KURO, WAIT!" he yells, running towards Kuroo. "PLEASE!" Kenma yells pushing past all the people. "DON'T LEAVE ME, PLEASE!" Kenma screams, tears rolling down his face uncontrollably. He yells and runs until he can no longer see Kuroo. He falls onto the floor, crying and crying. "KURO PLEASE, I LOVE YOU!" He yells one last time.

"PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME AGAIN!" Kenma yells, suddenly waking up. Kenma looks around and sees Kuroo looking at him, shocked. "Kitten are you okay? You've been saying stuff like this for the past 5 minutes and I've been trying to wake you up." Kuroo says, very worried for the younger. Kenma feels his face and feels tears. He quickly feels everything he just dreamed wash over him again and goes back to crying. He wraps his arms around the older, who quickly did the same. They stayed like this for some time. "Kitten, what happened?" Kuroo asks in a soft voice. Kenma didn't want to relive that dream again, but Kuroo would just keep asking, so he took a deep breath and began describing what happened in his horrible dream.

Kenma slightly teared up again. Kuroo holded him tightly, comforting him with all the love he had. "It felt so real, Kuro. Your words felt so real, it felt like every word was a knife stabbing me." Kenma says, burying his face deeper into Kuroo's chest. Kuroo lifts Kenma's face so that he was now facing him. "Listen to me, kitten. I would never in a hundred lifetimes say that to you, or do that to you. I'm never going to leave you. I'm always going to be here, right next to you." Kuroo says. Kenma smiles. Kuroo gives him kisses that he poured his love into. He hated knowing that Kenma thought all those things. He hated how his own self could say such horrible things, through Kenma's dreams. While he had been having happy dreams, Kenma was having a horrible one. (Because everyone deserves happy dreams, right?) If he could have switched dreams with Kenma, he would. He looked down and saw Kenma asleep on his lap. He looked at their clock and saw it was 5:06 in the morning. He too went to sleep.
