When I was called by the family of Linda Barker I didn't know much about the case itself, only read a bit about it on the news. When I found out more about the case I realised how little I still knew, and how little made sense about this. I talked with her father, a broken man clearly struggling to hold it together but doing so anyway for his family, I know the voice of a broken man I've heard them enough. He explained as much as they knew, not a lot.

She was found dead, for 5 hours roughly according to the coroner, her lungs were filled with water and her lips had turned purple from it, she clearly drowned however it was not raining nor had it rained for days before, she was found on Fleet Street no where near the docks. How? I ask myself this question for days after I received that call. God, I wish I never picked up...

I wish a lot of things, I wish I'd never picked up that call, I wish I never did a lot of stupid things. In my line of work you end of having a lot of regret and a lot of sadness. I wish I'd at least gotten to a truth about the Barker case that made sense.

My name is Jack Morgan, and this is probably my greatest failure.
