Shado X Jess - Hidden Memories.

Chapter 3

Jess' eyes slowly opened. Her head was pounding, and her vision was foggy. All she could make out was 1 beige-ish, 2 orange, and 2 grey figures. She moved her hand to her head, to feel a bandage wrapped around it. She also realised she was laying in her bed.

"She's awake!" A female voice exclaimed. You knew straight off the bat that Tina was the one to say it. 

Another figure walked closer to her. She knew it was Dirk, he was the only one wearing shades. "How you feelin', love?" He asked.

"Like I've just been pushed off a high surface..." She replied, groggily. Jeez, how long was Jess passed out for? "What happened?"

Leonard started to speak this time, "You suddenly passed out on us when I told you that Seb and I helped get you and the others out of there. What happened?" 

Shado walked into the room, followed by Bert, and Rick.

"I-I had a flashback.. We were all in cells. After I woke up, Rick wasn't in his cell, and I thought that he left us behind. When he came back, he looked... barely alive. We found out he was faking it. These 2 pervs came over to my cell, whilst Rick took the keys off them. That's where it ended, and I woke up here."

Shado talked, "You gave yourself an injury. We didn't expect you to pass out and you hit your head on the table, causing it to bleed. Luckily, it didn't cause any serious harm, just a scratch compared to what you've had before. Tina stitched you up, and we waited for you to wake up."

Jess' vision cleared up completely, and saw that everyone was watching her. She started to get nervous again, and looked down. Shado, Tina, and Leonard all knew why, so they looked at each other. Tina walked over to Bert and whispered in his ear. Bert nodded, "Hey kids, who wants to play in the water?" Hotty and Coldy had a sudden burst of energy, "Me!" They both shouted in sync, and ran outside, along with Bert. Leonard looked at Dirk, nodding for him to leave, which he obliged. Tina, Leonard, and Shado remained in the room. 

"Is there anything you'd like, Jess? Water, extra blankets?"

"Umm, water will be fine, thank you, Tina." Jess replied. Tina nodded and walked out of the room to get Jess a glass of water. Shado continued to watch Jess, whilst Leonard's phone started to ring. "Excuse me.. Presidential duties." Shado nodded at him as he exited the room. 

"How are you now?" He asked.

"I feel better, but I'm really thirsty, and my head is pounding." Just as Jess said this, Tina walked into the room with water, containing ice and a straw. She handed it to Jess to drink, which she did. They could both tell that she really needed that drink because she relaxed immediately. 

"Jess, about the flashback... Do you remember us?" Tina asked. This was on her mind for a while after she told them.

"Umm.. I remember you, Rick, Hotty, and Coldy. I didn't see Bert, Shado, Dirk or Leonard. But, I already know who Dirk and Leonard are." 

Shado had a thought. It may not be possible but it was worth asking. He got up to leave, "I'll be back soon, Jess. You're in good hands."

When Shado left, Tina spoke up again, "Is there anything else you would like?"

"Can we go outside? I want some air.." Tina nodded, and helped her up. Tina lead Jess outside, to sit in front of the fire, on the sand, just in case she passes out again. "Were we close?" Jess asked abruptly.

"We were all close. We were pretty much family, looking out for each other. If one of us was in danger, we would never hesitate for a second to help out. What happened to you.. when you were forced to switch sides, nobody held it against you. We all did what we could to get you back, and save the world from devastation."

"I get that, but I don't remember who any of you are. Shado should've let me fall, I let you all down." 

"Jess, don't say anything like that! Yes, you forgot your memories, but they can be recovered, your life can't. Our mission that day was to rescue you and save the world from disaster, we never change plans when our mind is set on something, even if it doesn't go to plan."

It was momentarily silent, until Tess added, "Jess?" Causing Jess to look at her. "Just know, that if any of us fell, you wouldn't hesitate to help." She smiled softly, with Jess smiling in return.
