~Andy's Point Of View~
~2006~It was a Saturday, and my family and I were getting new neighbors. My mother had made me leave my room to welcome the people, why did I have to? She knew I didn't like people. I mean, who hasn't bullied or judged me for how I looked? Oh, you don't know yet.
Well, I have a short black pixie cut with red tips, and usually, I wore ripped jeans with fishnets underneath. I always wore hoodies, with shirts underneath, and rolled up the hoodie. That way, the sleeve showed. I had a bit of freckles, but not much, just around my nose. I also had not ever given a thought of makeup, it's really girly I guess? I was 5'6 pretty tall for an 8th grader is what I was usually told.
Anyways, it was finally time for my mom to drag my brother and I to the neighbors. And she did. Quite literally. My brother was happy about it, he even brought some cookies for them. But sadly, they made ME knock on the door. ME, OF ALL OF US. I hate this. I went up, and slowly knocked on the door, only to see a young brunette boy open the door. He smiled warmly and started speaking. "I suggest your the new neighbors? It's a bit of a normal thing here to bring food for new people, huh?" He said, scratching his neck. My mom smiled widely and said, "Well of course! We have to welcome you all to the neighborhood!" She replied and he opened the door wider, allowing us to enter. I stepped in last, not aware of my surroundings. When I stepped in, my heart stopped. A young girl, with brown hair and caramel skin, came up to us. "Well hi there! I'm Sage Winterford! You've already met Kazuma! She exclaimed, while I could only stare. Her beautiful brown gaze, staring into my eyes. "Uh Hey? Are you okay?" She asked, waving her hands. "I uh I'm, I'm fine. Thank you." I replied. I must have zoned out. She smiled. "Oh no! It's fine! Just have a seat with your family, they went to talk to my parents!" She said, pulling me over. Hand in hand.
I think I'm in love.
I sat and she sat in front of me, as we saw our parents glancing at us, knowing we'd be friends.I chuckled, as Sage was making finger guns at me. Mouthing 'Pew Pew.'
After the whole family meet up, my mother invited them over for dinner sometime, they said sure. I walked with my brother, he was just gazing at Sage, which made me laugh. I said goodbye to Sage and Kazuma, and excused myself.
And that's how I met my bestfriend.
It's been three years, and it's now 2009 and it's my Junior year in high school. Still, Sage and I being best friend.
And this is the journey of Sage and I.
