Hey!

So I know it's been a while, but I had a lot of things to do this summer, and I didn't have a lot of screentime to update my books, but I've been adding a little each time I get a chance. In other news, school started last Wednesday and on top of that, I'm a senior. But I hope you all have had a good summer and I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Love yall!

Marinette's POV:

As I left Damien in my room, I headed over to the Eiffel tower where Adrien or Chat was waiting for me. "Hey, Kitty, who is it this time?"

He smiled and said, "Well it's Stormy Weather again. From the looks of it, she's trying to freeze everyone and everything."

I shook my head and said, "Great. Well, we better deal with her quickly. We both need to get back home, tomorrow is a school day."

After several hours of almost becoming an ice cube, I finally managed to capture her Akuma and use the miraculous cure to fix all of the damage.

Before I could leave Chat said, "M'lady, can we talk for a minute?" I frowned and nodded my head as we headed to the Eiffel tower.

I flew through the air, and then landed on the Eiffel tower, just as Chat landed right next to me. He turned to me and said, "Now I know why you didn't want us to meet Damien." I shook my head at him and said, "See! I told you it would be a terrible idea. I knew he would scare you guys off."

He then said, "That's not it." I frowned and he continued. "Honestly it was pretty cool when he just pulled a katana out of nowhere, but it just got pretty awkward when you both started arguing. It was pretty obvious you both argue a lot and from what I can tell you guys really need to figure things out before he comes to school tomorrow."

I kept a straight face and said, "Wow Adrien! It's not like I don't already know this. Adrien. It's so hard trying to figure things out with someone who is so emotionally stubborn, and a complete asshole. I can't just patch things up with him that quickly. We're complete strangers who were told that we're getting married to each other out of nowhere."

Adrien took a deep breath and said, "Mari, I know, okay, but from what I saw, when you said, that you actually tried to care for once, he actually looked pretty shocked. You might have not noticed it but his face softened. I'm serious about what I'm going to say, hang out with each other, maybe even a date, and see where it goes. Mari, we're all trying our best to help you but we can't do that if you're being stubborn."

With that, Adrien left leaving me on my own taking in his words. Not saying a word, I flung my yo-yo to a building and swung back home. Just as I landed on my balcony, I de-transformed and dropped down onto my bed.

I heard Damien get up from his bed and said, "Was it always this bad in Paris?" I nodded my head and said, "There was this one time where a swimmer was upset because her crush didn't like her back so she turned into Syren and flooded all of Paris. The water was all the to the top of the roofs. You could see dead bodies floating everywhere."

Damien was shocked and said, "Wait so people have died? What happened to all of those people?" I then said, "I have a Miraculous cure. Whenever I throw my Lucky Charm into the air, these magical Ladybugs come and fix all of the damage done. Including the dead people. They don't usually remember what happens, but Chat and I always remember everything."

Damien didn't say anything till he said, "What causes a person to get akumatized?"

I sighed and I explained everything to him. All the akumas, me being Guardian, identities. Everything. When I was finished, he said, "I shall tell father about this, He can tell the Justice League about this, and it should all be over soon."

I snorted and he glared at me. When I looked at his face and saw him scowl at me, and full-on laughed at him. He stood up and said, "I'm trying to help your situation, you dare to laugh?!"

I continued to laugh and when I calmed down I said, "Did you just say, 'I shall...' Oh my God! You sound like some high-class jerk!" He scowled at me and said, "It is how my mother taught me to speak when I was younger." I stopped laughing and I said, "Oh. sorry."

It was silent for a while before Damien sat back down and said, "Dupain- Cheng, I want you to know that I am not good with emotions, but I want to apologize about earlier about what I said about you being like every other girl out there and being a harlot. Clearly, you are not, and I apologize."

I sat up and stared at him. His eyes were like deep green emeralds that were really mesmerizing. I noticed that I was staring a bit too long so. I cleared my throat and looked away before saying a quiet thanks.

We sat in silence ut before I could say anything back, a knock was heard on my trap door, and mom poked her head through the door.

"Oh, you both are back. Well, I just wanted to let you know that I want you both down for dinner in five minutes."

With that, she left and we both sat there in silence before I said, "Okay so for school tomorrow, for the cover story we just say that we're old friends. You're most likely going to sit next to me because that's is the only available seat left."

Damien nodded and said, "I have a question though." I nodded for him to keep going and he said, "Who is this Lila I've heard you talk about before?" I looked down and said, "She's someone in my class. You'll see her tomorrow.

Leaving it at that, I pulled my door open and walked downstairs where my parents were sitting. Leaving Damien in his thoughts.
