Intoxicated. That was something everyone enjoyed being. Happy for no reason, always smiling and laughing at the silliest things. Not caring what the rest of the world was doing. All that mattered was having fun. It was just like turning into a baby. You don't need someone to play with. You'll laugh by yourself and play with yourself. Sometimes cry for no apparent reason.
That was Ashley here. Always getting drunk whenever she gets the chance to. She wobbled over to me, tripping almost every step she took as she giggled to herself. I just smiled, looking at her, her mouth was moving, but I couldn't hear anything because of the loud music. Ashley just laughed again and fell on the floor right in front of me as I started laughing with her. She chuckled, as she picked herself up.
She's the best thing that has ever happened to me. I've always wanted a friend like her and, when I stumbled across Ashley in a bar, this bar to be specific, I was glad that I had broken up with my ex that day. Ash, she's a small, cute, gay girl with dark hair and skin. She is badass and has a short temper. That's one of the things I love about her. Her sense of fashion is exceptional and, I mean literally. I've come to know that all gays have a great fashion sense. I smirked at Ashley when I saw her staring at Emilia, the bartender. I had known Emilia for a while now and, I knew, Ashley had a giant crush on her. Ash may be bold but, when it comes to her crush, she melts.
"Go ask her out, Ash." I grinned, pushing her playfully.
"I don't know. I don't think she likes me. Would you ask her out, for meee? Pleeeeeease?" She slurred.
I shook my head as I laughed. A few minutes passed by and, I ordered a bottle of water. I had taken two shots of Vodka that had made me a little tipsy, I didn't want to get drunk because I had to look after Ashley. Ash is such a baby when drunk. I think she had taken up to 5 shots already. The music changed to jazz and turned even louder, sending vibrations to my body that made me queasy.
Ashley took my hand and led me to the dance floor. I hesitated at first but then I gave in and decided to go with the flow and just dance the night away. I swayed my hips to the beat and enjoyed myself too busy to notice that Ashley had disappeared into the crowd.
I was dancing normally just like any other person here but I noticed a man by the bar checking me out. He had glowing honey eyes that had me locked in his stare. He smirked walking towards me as I gaped at his biceps which moved as he did.
"May I?" He asked, his voice rough with an Italian accent. He took my hands in his as butterflies erupted in my stomach. I nodded my head, our eye contact never faltering. His hands travelled down to my waist as he pulled me dangerously close to him. My hands went up to his soft, silky hair as his lips found my neck. I moaned out lowly as he placed a kiss there. I didn't care about anything right now as I focused on how good his lips felt.
"Avi! Heyyyy looks like you found a dance partner!" A voice said giggling. I looked to see that Ashley was back, her lipstick all smudged and she was looking at us smiling like crazy.
"Later beautiful." A voice whispered in my ears as I felt cold all over again. I noticed that the man had disappeared. I didn't even get his name.
"I think I need to piss," Ash said, to which I nodded, chuckling, and watched her leave. I went to the bar and took some more shots to the point all my senses were gone.
I checked the time, and it was getting late. We had to go back home. Even though tomorrow is Sunday, we promised each other that we'd go shopping but, I doubt that'll happen because of Ashley's headaches. I waited for a few minutes before deciding she was taking too long.
Looking toward the bathroom, I sighed, preparing myself to walk across the dance floor.
I was able to squeeze out of the crowd with some hands-on me, but I eventually made it to the restroom. Many people were making out there, sweaty bodies, floppy kisses, whispers, and mummers were heard everywhere, and everything smelled like cigarettes and sex.
When I entered the restroom, I quickly covered my nose because of the horrible scent. Girls were fixing their make-up, two of the stalls were broken, and Ash was nowhere to be seen. I groaned frustratingly, walking out of that place. Ash had this bad habit of hers to always disappear anytime she went somewhere alone. I should have known that this time wasn't any different. The fact that she was drunk made me even angrier. This girl will never learn.
I groaned and walked to the bar and asked Emilia if she had seen a stupid, drunk girl who looks like she just won her lottery but at the same time broke up with her boyfriend.
"You mean Ashley?" Emilia chuckled, placing a drink on the table and, a girl quickly drank it up as if her life depended on it.
I smiled and nodded as she told me she had no idea where Ash could have gone. I cursed under my breath before deciding to ditch her. She knew where we lived, and she had legs but, I was still worried.
I went around the whole bar, once again, tripping a few times, but I couldn't find her. I groaned but, just as I was about to leave, I heard the whole crowd cheer as the music turned even louder. Turning around, I could not believe what I saw.
That was Ashley right there on the dance floor, her body against the pole, in the middle.
"Fucking hell." I cursed and made my way to the middle, but I hit into a body, a big one. Hands held my sides as I gasped at the feeling of the warm, similar touch. He was so tall that I had to look up to see who it was. I was met with the same beautiful hazel eyes, which were shining in the dimly lighted room. The guy looked down at me, smirking. I realized I was still in his grasp so, I backed away and quietly apologized as I made my way to a dancing Ashley.
I looked back to see the guy from before still staring at me. Furrowing my brows, I thought of his hazel eyes again. Why on earth was I thinking of a stranger who I just met, when I was supposed to be thinking about how to bring Ashley home without drawing attention to myself.
I looked at her one last time before turning around and leaving. All I needed right now was a cool bed and a pain killer.
I was at the exit of the bar when I heard Ashley's voice. "Heyyyy girl! Where have you been?! You know, there was this hot man who came up to me and asked for your name he was so hottt...he had this muscular body and- "
I cur her off and questioned if he had hazel eyes to which she said yes. I frowned once again but I was determined on going home.
"Let's go home, Ash. It's been a long night."
