Chapter 23 - Getting Married or Getting Married?

“DADDY!” my girl said coming to hug me.

“PRINCESS!” I said with equal excitement.

She pulled back her smile disappeared.

“I brought guest,” she said sourly.

“I see that,” I said. “There are a lot of them.”

“Sadly,” she said.

“I feel,” I said.

She laughed and I joined in.

“Talk about rude right?” I said.

“I know! It’s like they just don’t get that we don’t want them here!” she said.

“I hope you guys aren’t talking about us,” Lydia said.

“Yeah,” Nico said.

“Of course not,” I said.

“You two are practically part of our tradition,” my girl said.

I sighed.

“I think I have so bad news,” I whispered looking over to the man on the other side of the door.

“I might have some too,” my girl said.

“Well isn’t this the best start of our holidays?” I said. “But no worries I’m sure yours can’t be as bad as mine.”

“Believe me when I say it can, daddy,” my girl said.

“Oh wow, now I’m scared, we’ll talk about this later,” I said.

“Okay,” my girl said.

“Darling, why the hell is he here?” I said.

“That relates to what I have to tell you later,” my girl said. “What about your guest?”

“Uhh, I’ll… later,” I said.

I took all of them in with a smile. BUT Really…BUT REALLY!?!?! WHAT IS LEONE DOING ANYWHERE CLOSE TO MY DARLING?!?!?! Not that I should be a great judge of character considering the guy who saved my life now wants to marry my daughter. Sigh, this whole vacation is turning out to be such a mess already. The guest got situated in the house with the help of the maids and everything. I told Aries, my butler, to show them around while I called my daughter to my office.

"Okay princess, the bad news," I said.

"Yes?" my girl said.

"Well remember that scary looking guy that was next to me when I greeted you guys at the door?" I said. "He's the one that saved my life."

"Oh, that's great!" my girl said.

"Not exactly, you see, he wants something in return for it," I said.

"Well we have all the money to give, what could he possibly want that you can't give?" my girl asked.

"You," I said.

"Me?" my girl questioned.

"He needs a wife," I said. "And he found out I had a daughter."

"That's so weird, I mean what if I was like super ugly and rude and disgusting?" my girl said.

I laughed. Leave it to my girl to miss the important parts completely.

"But my daughter is the best in the whole universe!" I said.

"So he wants to marry me?" my girl asked.

"Yeah," I said.

"Kinda makes my bad news less bad," my girl said.

"So what's up on your side?" I asked.

"Well you see, I kinda accidentally...um had to...ish uh... promise to marry Leone," my girl said quietly.

"YOU SAID WHAT NOW?" I shouted. "How does that even happen?"

Arashi's POV 

I explained all the details on how I accidentally promised I'd marry Leone to daddy and he sat there in his office chair gaping like a fish. 

"The real problem here seems to be that now you're married ish twice," Nico said.

"NICO! What are you doing here?" daddy said.

"I needed to use the 'bathroom' and excused myself," Nico said.

"But double marriage though," I said.

"Gladiator match for hell!" Daddy exclaimed.

"You're not thinking..." I started.

"Yes I am thinking that," daddy said. "I've always wanted to do this."

"But what if one of them wins?" Nico asked.

"Then we'll just have to add a challenger to beat them both and forfeit the prize," daddy said.

"But who would do that?" I asked.

"I have an idea," Nico said.

"Then we'll leave it up to you Nico," daddy said.
