I heard a huge crash upstairs so I went to go see what it was. When I got up there I seen Skylar laid out on the floor laughing.
"Girl you ok?" I laughed
"Yeah I just tripped over these boxes. I'm about to head to the post office then run some more errands you wanna come with me?" I nodded
I helped her grab a couple boxes and we left out the door and got in the car.
"Whew shit it's hot!" Skylar yelled
I just laughed and put on my seatbelt.
While Sky was driving my mind drifted off to Kaiden. I haven't heard from him in 2 weeks and im starting to get worried.
"You ok?" Skylar asked
"Yeah im fine just thinking" I assured her
"I have to stop by Jordan's house before we head home" she told me
I just nodded and leaned back in my seat and drifted off to sleep.
10 minutes later
"Look at this goofy" I heard
I woke up and seen Jordan staring in my face.
"Sir can you move?" I pushed his face while Skylar just laughed
"I gotta pee can I use your bathroom?" I asked Jordan
He shrugged. I got out of the car and walked in his house. I've been here a couple times so I know my way around here.
While I was doing my business I heard some giggling. I knew it wasn't a grown female because it just didn't sound like it.
I washed my hands then checked my phone and seen I had a message from Skylar
Bestie: Me and Jordan want to go on a date, you want me to drop you off at home or you want to chill here until we come back?
I told her I could chill here because I love the bed in the guest room.
I opened the door to the guest room t see Kaiden and Kali sitting in the bed.
They both looked over at me with different expressions.
Kaiden looked confused while Kali was very happy to see me.
She started crawling and I caught her before she fell off.
"Hey pretty girl!!" I tickled her stomach
I sat on the edge of the bed and stood her up on my legs.
"You look so pretty today baby!" I exclaimed
She just bounced up and down and giggled.
A/n: y'all I forgot how old I said she was but we gon say she 2 😂.
"Yellow" she pointed to her shirt
"Yeah that's is yellow, good job. Who taught you that?" I smiled
She pointed to Kaiden while she just smiled at her.
She wiggled out of my lap and walked over to her toys
"How you been?" I asked Kaiden
"Good" he shrugged
You could clearly see that's something was bothering him but he just didn't want to say anything.
"Kaiden you can tell me. I know you're lying." We both chuckled
"How you know?" He asked
"Because you're biting your lip and because your foot is shaking uncontrollably" I pointed out
"Ight you got me. First of all, sorry for ghosting you or whatever I was going through something and I didn't know how to deal with it" he said
I just nodded
"Kali's mom reached out to me" He sighed
"What did she say?" I asked
"She asked to see her daughter and she was talking about how clean she was and how she hasn't even touched any drugs in months" he said running his hand down his face.
"So what are you gonna do?" I questioned
He just shrugged. He looked so stressed
"You want my advice?" I asked
He nodded.
"I feel like you should go meet with her by yourself first before you take Kali around her just to be sure. I'm not trying to bash her or anything but it's for the safety of Kali." I suggested
"I wanted to do that but who's going to watch Kali?" He asked
"Nigga me! You know I don't mind watching her" I said
"You sure?" He looked at me
I just stared at him with a straight look on my face.
"Wait, why are you at Jordan's house?"
"Oh because he act like he don't ever see me and I'm always being distant towards him blah blah blah" he chuckled
"He is so extra" I laughed
He nodded in agreement
My phone dinged and it was Skylar telling me that she was outside
"Well I'm about to go" I said while gathering my stuff
We both stood up and hugged. Then I walked over and picked up Kali.
"See you later baby!" I kissed her cheek
I passed her over to Kaiden and headed to the front door.
Before I walked out Kaiden pulled me back and kissed me on the lips. I pulled away in shock
"See you later Brook" he said
I smiled and walked out to the car.
