The morning sun pouring through her window rouses her from deep slumber, she could not recall when was the last time she had slept so well, and then she felt the warm breath on her neck and realizes the reason for the content feeling. Turning back slowly she sees him, wrapped up behind her sleeping like a baby, as she is trying to figure out how it all came to be, Murat opens his eyes. Instantly Hayat pushes him off, immediately missing the security of his arms, " I told you Murat, please don't encroach on my space, this isn't going to work, I can't be living with so much apprehension in my own house"
Murat, still in his sleepy state was trying to figure out what was going on, recalling the circumstances that led to him sleeping next to her, not wanting to embarrass her with the truth, he rubs his eyes and just comments lazily, that he had not slept so well in a long time, "Really Hayat, stop getting agitated at everything, I'm sorry, but I just couldn't sleep on the couch. I promise I won't do that again." Seeing him sprawled on her bed like a Greek Adonis, she is unable to take her eyes off, try as she would, "And please could you wear your PJs and not walk around half naked" she barks, upset at herself for getting affected by his magnetism. She had slept like a log, for the first time in days she felt really fresh and rested, and now she knew why, she was so used to sleeping cocooned inside him. How she had missed him, his warmth, his presence, he was the only one who could make her feel safe and letting out a long sigh, she gets busy preparing to go to work. As she steps out of the bathroom, she smells the coffee brewing, and the aroma of fresh eggs which involuntarily draws her towards the kitchen, Murat turns around. Inhaling her fresh scent, he gasps at the beautiful sight of his wife, the pregnancy suited her, there was a glow on her face. Past memories of their easy camaraderie catches her unaware, getting a little conscious of the open admiration in his eyes, she quickly turns away not wanting him to see the tear escaping her eye. Out of habit, she grabs a couple of mugs for the coffee, and gets busy pouring the coffee. The tiny kitchen had very little room for the two of them to move around freely and they end up bumping into each other, annoyingly, Hayat just walks out with her coffee, while Murat follows with a plate loaded with food, and places it in front of her, "what's all this?" she quips and he answers her right back, "what do you think?" " I'm going to make sure that you will not leave until you have cleaned that plate. Seeing his determined face, she quietly finishes her breakfast, Murat makes the best eggs in town and it had been a long time since she had enjoyed her breakfast so much. Slow down Hayat, she reminds herself, you cannot get used to these luxuries, better learn to live on your own, this is all soon going to end, once the baby is born, the thought of a life without him in it made her sad, and Murat quickly catches on to the change in her mood. Her gloomy face made him sad too, he wanted to hug her so bad, and reassure her that he was not letting her go, but he stops himself as he had already crossed the line once today, and did not want to push her too much, one step at a time Murat, he reminds himself, she was fragile and ready to break anytime, not only was she weak but he also had to think of the baby.
"I'll drop you, you don't have to ride the bus", Murat tells her, Hayat just wanted to leave and be alone and she knew she couldn't win against him, and figures the best way would be to just play along, besides she had missed all his pampering and, the emotional roller coaster that she was on, just made her want to give in, everything else would have to wait until the baby was born, she was too emotionally drained to fight anyone and her priority had to be the baby and its health.
With that decision made, she feels relieved and quietly walks out the door.
The car ride was quiet, both lost in their own thoughts, Murat's phone keeps beeping with incoming texts, and she realizes that she still had no idea about his work. Just as she was about to ask him, she sees the phone ring again and Cagla's name flashing on it, she sees Murat's jaw tighten and an angry look replaces his face. Curiosity gets the better of her and she asks him, "Shouldn't you be taking the call, maybe it's something important." she tells him, with just a pinch of sarcasm, which does not escape Murat. He lets the jibe pass, focusing on the road, until the phone beeps a voicemail, "I guess you don't want me to listen to her message, I am sure Cagla must be very anxious to know, if your naive wife is doing alright after the deception." That makes Murat furious, not only at Hayat's persistent accusations, but more at himself for turning his pregnant wife into an insecure woman, but he knew he has to refrain from responding to her goading. He knew she had every right to be upset after what she was made to believe and that he would have to be more tactful in earning her trust back.
