As she circled around the holy fire

Broken wings had she

Her situation was dire

She turned sixteen

Her dream was to always get a degree

But marriage had come in between

She had to be by a man defined

She felt wretched and her mother did she plea

But the father had made up his mind

Soon a mother's life for her begun

A daughter was born and hope did she see

But blamed she was for born wasn't a son

Sometimes when she is alone

She looks at her books, her daughter and hopes to be free

From her family, community who no empathy had shown

But she is one against all

What had she done for her life like this to be?

Why did such misery in her life befall?

I wish I could help her and answer her distressed call.
