The cosmodrome is a place of constant struggle and fighting. Many refugees that live in the city now have had to travel through it in order to reach the city. It's not surprising that a lot of the new light Guardians arise in old Russia. The sound of a sniper echoes in the distance. Three Guardians are wandering on patrol. "The Hive are getting more aggressive and active around here." A hunter reloads after his shot. His cloak flowing in the wind as he turns to face two titans. "Why are we out here anyway? I thought Zavala wanted us all back at the tower for a debrief." One of the Titans just walks past the hunter saying nothing. "Jax thinks there is something out here causing the hive to stir, and you know him. When it comes to the Hive, He decides to exterminate now Aelister." The second Titan places a hand on the shoulder of the hunter as he chuckles and walks past him. "Geez Luke, do you always go along with his plans for the Hive?"
"Not always. He was off on the moon by himself for months. No connection to the Tower or Earth. The Guardians who saw him on the moon thought he was a ghost because no one had seen him back home in a while." As Luke was talking with Aelister, Jax continued forward. Traveling through the Mothyards, Jax takes a moment to survey the area. "Aelister i need you to keep an eye on the fallen while we approach the building." As Jax was talking he holds up his hand and points to a nearby crashed plane. A lone Human Woman wanders out of the crashed ship.
"She looks like a new light. Okay new plan. We need to—" Before Jax could finish his statement, a tremendous roar echoes through the mothyards. Before their eyes a swarm of Hive emerge from the building and the nearby caves. Aelister who was watching the fallen see all of them scatter and flee. "She has no idea whats charging towards her. We need to get down there and save her." Luke says, but before he could even finish his sentence Jax as already on the move. As Jax rushes forward, gunfire starts to ring from his rifle. Acolytes and Thrall fall to the fire. "Is he always like this?!?" Aelister asks.
"As I said, He's got a different mindset when it comes to the Hive. I don't have the right to tell you so when he wants to open up he will." Luke launches himself in the air and the air around him crackles with arc energy. Aejlistar watches as Luke launches through the air. Enveloped in arc energy Luke slams and causes a massive arc explosion in the midst of the swarming Hive. As the fighting continues, Jax makes it to the woman they saw.
"We need to get out of here! Follow me." As he finishes his words Jax holds out his hand. The woman was hesitant at first, but eventually grabbed his hand. As he pulls her out of the rusted ship, a hive knight smacks him with the back of his hand. Launching him and the woman. Jax's weapons fling from his grasp as he hits the rocks. The hand cannon he had attached to his side also flung off because of the sheer force of the impact.
As Jax composes himself he stands to face the Hive once more. A burning rage fills is spirit.
