(Name) walked around the town square, her shawl wrapped around her shoulder, flapping in the wind as she roamed the area, looking for a man with a curl. She clutched a bouquet of orange daisies as she frantically and hopefully searched.

There was still no sign of him.

Sighing, she left the square filled with cries of joy and walked home.

On the way, she passed by a park. Couples walked hand in hand, some in uniform.

There was a small clearing, with a huge oak tree, and hanging from one of the branches hung a swing, made of simple rope and a small plank of wood with just enough room fir two. Little daisies curled up onto the ropes, making the swing look like it emerged from a fantasy book.

It was their special place. No one else knew of this clearing...

(Name) sat on the swing and slowly rocked back and forth. They always sat there. (Name) and Feli.

It was where he made a promise to her...

"Ve~ (Name), what do you-a think about my leaving for-a war?"

(Name) pouted. "I hate it," She sighed and leaned over to rest her head on his shoulder. Feliciano rested his head on hers, on arm on her hand, which was on his leg, and the other arm behind (Name), the hand gripping onto the rope of the swing. Their legs were swinging along with the swing itself.

"Hey (Name)?"

"Hmm?"

"I'll come back..."

(Name) lifted her head up and looked at him.

"I know you will..." she smiled reassuringly, even if she didn't sound so reassured.

Feliciano looked into the eyes of his love and saw sadness.

"(Name), don't-a be sad," he reached his hand up to gently caress her cheek. (Name) leaned into the touch and sighed.

"When I get-a back," Feliciano started "We are going to-a finally start our-a life together!" He leaned forward and put his forehead against (Name's).

"Promise?" asked (Name).

"I promise, (Name). I will never lie to you-a." He pulled back and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"We'll start-a our life together, we'll have-a babies!" He gave her a silly grin. "Lots and lots of-a babies!"

(Name) blushed "Feli, not so loud!" she tried to shush him, but she was laughing herself.
"I'm-a serious, (Name)! We're going-a to have lots of-a babies! And they're going-a to-a have your-a eyes!"

Feliciano kissed her on the lips and she kissed back. They were meant for each other and they would forever stay together.

They laughed and swung together on that little swing as if they didn't have a care in the world.

"Ti amo, (Name)..."

(Name) placed her hand on the spot beside her. The wood felt cold, for no one had sat there for a while. It was a strange feeling, swinging alone in that clearing, without the sound of her lover's voice.

She clutched the daisies as she looked up to the sky. It was a beautiful sky-blue shade, much like the day where they made their promise to each other...

Sighing in defeat, (Name) got up from the swing and walked home alone.
