Step 0: don't be stupid
Love sucks. One moment he made you experience happiness in the purest state of him, and the other moment like a double-edged sword, he made you feel like shit.
Just like Rudolph was right now.
In times past I always hear mortals refer to him as a soulless monster. He was never carried away by words, instead now agreeing to the nickname.
And he was, adding to it his cowardice as well. When he had lost Tony from sight he was static, speechless and as rigid as a stone from shock. Various feelings were mixed in just a few seconds. When he couldn't take it anymore, he automatically took flight in the opposite direction of his loved one.
Hoping thus to escape the disappointment he had caused in the blond.
Minutes, hours and even days passed. He wasn't entirely sure, but what he did know was that he didn't want to show his face for a very long time.
His scant knowledge of his outside world led him to only one place where he could seek refuge, the ancient Sackville-Bagg crypt. Sitting on the gray stone with his knees pressed to his chest, staring at some point in the darkness, the remorse grew more and more as he remembered how Tony had done so many things for him, and how, in turn, he had done so many times. he had been rude and indifferent.
For once he wanted to let her know how grateful he was to him. Instead he only received contempt and terror. It would never be like before, he was lost forever.
The salty water coming from his eyes confused him a bit, he had never cried for love before. He felt that he was being killed in the most cruel way possible, experiencing this kind of pain completely brought him down.
The more he cried the more he realized how important Tony was in his life.
- What if something happened to him? We should go find him right now.
Anna who seemed to be the personification of reason, did not hesitate to catch Tony to get as much information as possible from that night. She had intercepted him when she crossed the castle door, something had gone terribly wrong when she saw Tony's downcast face, and above all because at no time did his older brother appear. When he managed to get Tony to speak after finding him in shock, he recounted his experience that night in great detail, from beginning to end.
He felt sorry when the blonde finished his story, he was down and maybe a little scared after the fact. He cursed his brother for being so careless, he had just ruined all of his progress in a second.
