"Well, I'm very nervous, Remi." January stares into the LED-board camera. She sighs and lays a hand on her forehead.

"Gosh, I didn't know you were that nervous. Well, I knew you were nervous, but not like nervous you wanna cry." Remi replies back.

January brings her LED-board to her bed and dives in. She sets her board on the pillow and messes with her long, silky blue hair.

"Hey, my mom needs me. Call me back later." Remi brings up at a random time.

"Mkay, talk to you later." January hits the end call button and shuts down her LED.

She rubs her eyes and sighs for a second. She spreads her arms across the hover bed and closes her eyes. She's too tired to play games or comm friends.

January hears footsteps coming close to her room and she shoots up from the bed. She can hear someone talking to someone else. Maybe her mom is talking to Luka or something. Her mom knocks on the door and uses some force on it.

"Jan, open up please. I wanna talk about something." Her mom has a sweet tone in her voice.

"ID chips needs to be scanned, remember?" January implies to her mom's statement.

Her mom holds her wrist in front of the door knob and a light pops up green. She opens the door and a scent of chlorine fills her nostrils.

"Do you even use this pool, January?" Her mom questions her while plugging her nose.

"I use it, when Remi is over." January answer quietly.

She flips open her LED-board and opens the inter file. She searches on how to keep chlorine not as smelly. Websites pop up and she wants to clicks the link to vid files.

"Yeah, there might not be a way to calm the smell of chlor--"

"Just wait. Maybe I can install a freshener to keep the smell down." January interrupts her mom's warning.

She shrugs and looks at the pools of water in January's bedroom. January's mom installed a pool in her gigantic bedroom and only her friends use it most.

January exits the inter file and opens her note file. She puts her hands in the home row of keys and takes calm breaths.

"Should I leave or...?" Her mom asks.

"I don't care. Whatever works with you." January replies.

Her mom walks off the bridge to the door and closes it silently. January continues her calm breathing and starts typing.

Dear Diary File,

Tomorrow is my first day I'm moving up to high school. I am really nervous about it. You can even ask Remi about it. She helps me calm down and says,

"It's okay to be nervous. It'll end soon so don't worry."

Oh yeah, I got the pool installed, finally! I'm so freaking happy its here. When I told Remi about it, she screamed and literally, we both ran to my house. Its pretty cool but the only thing is is that the smell of chlorine stinks up my room. (hopefully that goes away when I install the air freshener.)

This is the last day of summer and I never want it to end. I will write again tomorrow and tell you how "fun" my first day of high school was.

-January

She saves the file and closes her LED-board. With the sound of her LED-board beeping to shut down, she needs to call Remi back. She hits the power button and the welcome screen pops up. She types in her password and the home screen appears.
