'What must go will go; what dies must die; what comes up will fall down; what lives must live.'
Scene 1
A man sits quietly, solemnly in the prison cell. He stares firmly forward. The prison has inmates walking here and there, it's their recess. A security guard is going to walk to his door, tell him to go out and have some freedom, but is pulled back by the other warden beside him.
WARDEN 2: (hissing) Don't touch him, you idiot.
The warden who was pulled back is confused. He is black, classic black accent, and he looks quite comical in that uniform all wardens have to wear.
WARDEN 1: (scratches head) What did I do, man? He should have his time, break's almost over.
WARDEN 2: (sighs) It is exactly because he's who he is that we don't mess around with him, brother. That man ain't human, and you only touch his cell when you gonna feed him.
WARDEN 1: That's darn cruel, brother.
A prisoner walks over and smiles. This prisoner has rat-like teeth, messy hair, scrawny figure. He smiles-grins, and the black warden is reminded so much of a rodent. This prisoner was imprisoned for rape and murder.
PRISONER: What you two doin' fine over here? Break's almost done.
The prisoner's accent is slurred, 'fine' sounds like 'faan'.
WARDEN 1: Piss off, asshole. You don't even have the rights to breathe properly for what you did.
PRISONER: My name ain't asshole, and I'm breathing properly. See?
The prisoner breathes loudly by purpose. The second warden takes a step forward towards him, but is held back again by the first warden.
WARDEN 2: (looks at the grinning prisoner) Let me bust this guy's nose.
WARDEN 1: You touch that guy just like that, and we'll get a freaking suspension. Back off.
The prisoner grins wider.
PRISONER: Someone knows his limits. That's good, that's good. At least he knows you don't mess around with old dogs like me around here. We rule it all.
FERRIS: You sure about that? You know, this ain't your playground.
The prisoner turns around and sees Ferris walking out from his cell to them. The wardens look surprised as well.
WARDEN 1: Usually I would tell you to go back to your cell...
FERRIS: But you need someone to do the dirty work for you. It's fine, I get it. Just try not to be too hard when forcing me back in.
The prisoner splutters.
PRISONER: The f-
Ferris grabs him by the neck- for someone his size, his strength is abnormal- and holds him there. The prisoner chokes for breath, but very less if no air comes to soothe his airway.
FERRIS: One thing- no, three things. The first is that you don't mess with the wardens here. They're two good men who just want to retire in one piece, and it's your fault you're here. Got it?
The prisoner gasps for air, and Ferris sighs. Ferris throws the prisoner to the ground. The prisoner is sprawled out on the ground, and Ferris stomps hard on the prisoner's left hand. The wardens can hear bones crack, and the prisoner howls in pain.
WARDEN 2: (whispers) Should we do something? He looks like he's-
A smirk appears on the first warden's face.
