Getting into the office today after last night dinner with my mother was not the way I want to start my day. I shrug the uneasy feeling in my stomach but last night memories still has my blood boiling.

"Lisa how is Hayoon doing in that daycare you put her in?" my mother ask as she sips her tea.

I look over at my step father playing with Hayoon in the living room.

"She is doing well." I replied.

"You know there is great school about ten minutes away from here."

I internally groaned the school that she is referring to. Of course I know the school, it was the school me and my sister attended as well. The Elite school for the rich, the school that every well known women and gentlemen attended.

"Yes mom, and its about forty-minutes away from our place." I reminded her.

My mom place her cup on the table with a smug look on her face. "Yes but if Hayoon stays with us, it would only be ten minutes away."

I look my mother in the eye with anger. She does this every week, when we visit. My sister was the rebel of our school, the one that my parents were ashamed of and I was the perfect daughter who had my whole life planned till one night. Since that one horrible night, my mother had constantly try to convince me to have Hayoon stay with her and my father.

"Mom not this again." I tell her.

"Lalisa, you are far too young to raise a child, especially one that is not yours. You can go back to college and be who you are meant to be."

"Mother, seriously you have to stop." I beg her.

"No, I will not." My mother's voice raises a little.

"Chae-rin put my name on the papers to raise Hayoon. Not you!" I remind her.

My mother rolls her eyes, "Yes because of her no good of a boyfriend." she grumbles.

"Rome was a good man. You didn't approve because of his looks."

"He was painted with tatoos and piercing for goodness sake. That boy was trouble an-"

"He was not trouble. He was a good man. He loved Chae, and through her pregnancy he was loving to her. You ran out of her life, may I remind you. You abandoned Chae when she needed you the most. So if anything, he was far from trouble. He was a man who love Chae." I ranted.

My mother's lips thin, knowing what I said was correct. She likes to erase the memories of leaving my sister but if she consistently try to get Hayoon, then I will remind her that they wanted me to raise Hayoon not her.

"Regardless who is raising Hayoon, don't you think she deserve the best education."

My hands went to my lap. I agree with my on this but I know this school will give my mother a hold on Hayoon like it did with me and my sister. I want what is best for Hayoon but was this school the best for her? It wasn't for my sister.

"Mother.. you still don't get it do you?"

"What?"

"That school is toxic."

My mother scoffs, "Don't be dramatic, it was school. Every school will have drama."

"My answer is no." I tell her.

My mother mockingly chuckles, "And this is why you are far too you to be raising a child."

It was my turn for my lips to pressed together in a thin line, "Yeah you are right mother, but I am already better raising a child that is not mine than you were with Chae."

My mother eyes widen at my words. It was one of the worst thing I have said to my mother but she needed to finally hear it. She needed to know the real reason why Chae chose me as Hayoon's guardian. My mother was not Chae's biological mother and she did very well to make her feel as if she was not her daughter.

A finger pokes my shoulders, I look up and it was Tzuyu one of the accountant at the building. She is truly beautiful. She gives me a smile.

"Hey Lisa right?" I nod my head. "Mr. Kim has an appointment with JJK Hotel Chain's CEO and a few chairman. I am setting up, will you mind helping me?" I nod my head in agreement.

I went to the supply room to grab pens and notebook with Kim's Market Enterprise's logo on them. As I enter the conference room, Tzuyu was placing water bottles and napkins on the table. She helped me once she was  done.

"So how is it going so far?" Tzuyu ask me in the moment of silence.

I gave her a smile, "It's going well. It is just my second day." I explain.

"Well this is good place to work. Mr. Kim is a great man to work for, and he makes sure the high up are good to his staff." She explains to me. "Do you think you can see yourself working her for awhile?"

I gave her small smile, "I am only a temporary." I tell her. "I'm from a temp agency. So..."

"Oh.." Tzuyu smiles falters, "Well maybe by the end of your contract, you would stay."

Every time I start a new place, there was someone who always so kind and I really do end up trying to be friends with them but once my contract ends, we loose contact. Its sad every time because I truly meet amazing people.

After a few minutes the conference room was set up. And Tzuyu and I step out of the conference room, we were about to part ways because Tzuyu needed to be part of the meeting for the financial behalf, but there was no need for a receptionist to be there.

We heard footsteps and group of people was walking towards us. One man who was 5'11 walking with chocolate brown hair with a bright smile who had one dimple, in the middle. But that was not the man who took my by surprise, it was the man next to him. The one who bid 2,000 on me at charity auction.

Jeon Jungkook

As if he knew I would be there starring at him wide eyes, he look me in my eyes with a proud smirk on his face.

"Mr. Kim, the room is ready." Tzuyu tells him.

My eyes couldn't pry away from Mr. Jungkook's eyes.

"Thank you. And..." Mr. Kim's voice falters as I now felt his eyes on me. When I did he gave me a smile.

"Sorry, I am the temporary receptionist, Lisa. I was just leaving." I explain to him. He nods his head as I took a step away.

"Is there anything to drink?" The familiar voice spoke out.

"Yes there is water Mr. Je-." Tzuyu answers.

"But I want coffee." He interrupts. My footsteps stops walking. "Lisa, do you mind getting me coffee." I turn my body fully facing him, with a grim look as he smirks proudly.

I look at Tzuyu as she gave Mr. Jeon a skeptically look. Then she turns to me with a nod and I knew I had to do what he was asking.

Author's Note:

For inspiration who I wanted Hayoon's parents, I chose CL and the guy who played her boyfriend in the 5 Star M/V.  Here's the M/V to kind of give the vibe who the couple were and portray them as without really giving a back story.

WARNING:

The music video is super fucking cute and I love the song.
