My dad used to say- "Part of the journey is the end."
Maybe it was his way of telling me that it's okay to let go when things got bad or maybe it was his way of telling me that he won't be there for me forever or it was just a bunch of words he thought would look cool.
It did look cool, though.
And those words did stick by me- till the finish line where I got so tired of running so I fell on the ground, too exhausted to keep going.
Part of the journey is the end.
But my story wasn't over yet.

[ WHERE'S YOUR HUSBAND, ELI? ]
It was a new day as Wanda telepathically cleaned the dishes and a young girl named Eli solved the daily puzzles that came in the newspaper. Wanda floated some plates onto a shelf and wiped a cup down with a dish rag as Vision, Wanda's husband and Eli's adopted brother entered. Wanda didn't notice him enter and hits him in the head with a plate, which shatters onto the floor forcing Eli to burst into laughter.
"My wife and her flying saucers," Vision mused.
"My husband and his indestructible head," Wanda smiled.
