6. My Story

<Sophia's POV>

"Sophia, she... she is finally awake."(Mother)

Said my mother with a tear forming in her eyes toward my half-asleep father while waking him.

Hearing mother's word, my father's sleepy eyes then became wide open in an instant, he then rises from his sleeping position to a sitting position.

From down here, I can see that father has a really bewildered look on his face.

Well, I can't really blame him for having that look, imagine hearing a piece of shocking news right after you woke up, your reaction will be the same as my father's.

I honestly don't know if hearing 'me' waking up is a big deal enough to make someone make that kind of face.

Then a thought came to me.
" What if... what if it's actually a big deal."

Setting that matter aside, my father is now facing my mother, he still with his bewildered look then said with an unbelieving tone.

"R-really!!!"(Neil)

"Nod, Nod"

Nodded my mother while directing my father's point of view toward me.

Heeding mother's direction, father's eyes then meet with mine, that moment and just by that one look from him instantly made me think.

"(This person.. is my father)"(Sophia)

I can feel thousands of complex emotions contained within that single look from him.

Even though so, I still can't comprehend how a child waking up would make a parent felt that kind of emotion.

From his point of view, I should just be his asleep daughter who had just woken up.

Leaving the mystery for later, I then responded to my father's look by making a cute sound.

"Uwu" (Sophia)

Father's reaction to that is... let just say it is indecipherable. Is he happy or is he sad right now?

With that weird look on his face, he then unbelievingly said to my mother.

"Is-is this true?, or am I dreaming?"(Neil)

Hearing father's word, mother then immediately embraced him In her furry arms, with tears flowing from her eyes, mother then tearfully said.

"No... this is not a dream."(Emilia)

"Our daughter... Sophia has truly woke up."(Emilia)

Following her, my father has also shed tears after tears of happiness.

My parent is embracing each other while crying their heart's out.

Being orphaned since birth, this scene that is unfolding before me is something that I could only imagine in my past life.

This might be also a sign to let go of my past life and to live my present.
