The next day, Thanos arrived to Thor with baggy, pink eyes after last nights trouble with the fire. His first orders: Find (Y/N) and Maddie. Thanos rounded up every Gypsy he could find and bribed them to tell him where they were. But none of them would tell him. He tried drowning them in a waggon before taking them out and bribing them with more money but they wouldn't say anything. Thanos was desperate now. Thor was disapproving of what Thanos was doing.
They went to an old mill where Thanos interrogated the owner. He had found a Gypsy talisman and assumed Gypsies were there or are still there. Thanos placed them on house arrest. But he told Thor to burn the mill. Thor argued that he wasn't trained to harm the innocent. But Thanos shot back that he was trained to follow orders. Thor wouldn't burn it. So Thanos did. Thor couldn't sit back and watch these innocent people burn so he ran in and saved the mill owner, his wife and his kids. (Y/N) and Maddie, who were nearby, watched in horror.
Thor was knocked down as Thanos rode over on his horse saying that he would be killed for his insubordination. Before a guard could chop off his head, Maddie made a slingshot and threw a stone at Thanos' horse, knocking him off. Thor took the opportunity to take it and ride away. The guards shot him with arrows which all missed until one shot him in the back, close to his heart. He fell off a bridge into the river below. The guards shot in the water until Thanos stopped them telling them to let Thor rot in his watery grave. Their new orders: find (Y/N) and Maddie. Even if they have to burn Paris to the ground.
Once Thanos was gone, Maddie jumped into the water to save Thor. Now she had to hide him somewhere safe. Thanos was a man of his word. He had Paris in flames just to find the sisters. He was confused as to how they escaped the Cathedral. Until he remembered there was someone else living in Notre Dame. Loki, who was ringing the bells now, waiting for any word or any sign of (Y/N). Tony, Nat and Steve were looking out for her. Well, Tony was playing cards with a pigeon.
"Oh, it doesn't look good," Steve said looking out at the burning city.
"It's hopeless. Absolutely hopeless," Nat said.
"You're telling me! I'm losing to a bird!" Tony said throwing down his cards.
"Oh, that poor gypsy girl. I'm beginning to fear the worst," Nat said.
"I know, but, now, don't you say anything to upset Loki. He's worried enough already," Steve said.
"Yeah, you're right. We'd better lighten up," Tony said.
Loki walked down to the three as they tried to keep quiet about (Y/N).
"Any sign of her?" Loki asked.
Nat quickly breaks down, "Oh, it's a lost cause! She could be anywhere! In the stocks, in the dungeon, on the rack!"
"Nice work, Nat," Steve said.
"No, she's right. What are we going to do?" Loki asked.
"What are you guys talking about? If I know (Y/N), she's three steps ahead of Thanos, and well out of harm's way!
"Do you really think so?" Loki asked.
"Hey, when things cool off, she'll be back. You'll see."
"What makes you so sure?"
"Because she likes you," Steve said, "We always said you were the cute one."
