First year was over and Gauri was back at Bareilly for her semester break.
She tried everything she could to keep away from Omkara. But Shankarji had other plans. Omkara seemed to always around her.
Why Shankarji? Why are you doing this to me?
A few days into the holidays, Gauri was at the temple with her family. Even Omkara was there. Gauri was startled to hear her name being called.
Gauri turned around to see Rudra coming towards her with a smile
"Rudy? You here?" Gauri asked in surprise
"I have been to the nearby village for a wedding. So I thought I would come and visit you too. It's been two weeks since we last met, right" Rudy said cheerfully
Omkara had paled at the sight of the young handsome man who had come to meet Gauri, because it has been two weeks since he last met her.
"Just two weeks Rudy" Gauri said with a chuckle
"What? I can't even miss you now?" Rudy asked with a pout
Gauri shook her head and took him to her family
"Come. I will introduce you to my family"
"Okay"
"Momma. Bhaiyya bhabhi. This is Rudy. A senior at our college. He had helped a lot during the initial days of my college" Gauri said
Rudra noticed the pale man just behind the staring at him.
"And that is?" Rudra asked
"That is Omkara Singh Oberoi. A family friend" Gauri mumbled
Omkara clenched his fist as he heard that introduction
"Oh. Omkara Singh Oberoi" Rudra said with interest
Gauri glared at him
They made casual talks for a few minutes
"I have to leave. My parents will be waiting for me. It was nice meeting you all" Rudy said they all nodded uneasily
"Gauri. Will you walk with me to my car?" Rudra asked
"Yeah. I will come just now momma" Gauri said and walked with Rudra towards the car.
Omkara found it difficult to breath. He could see the pitying and sympathetic glances coming his way.
Anika and Shivaay came towards him
"Om" Shivaay called hesitantly
"I'm okay"
"They are just friends Om" Anika said
"Yeah. I have some work at the mill. I will see you later" Omkara said and hurried away from there
"What are you doing here Rudy?" Gauri asked folding her arms across her chest
"The story of the wedding was genuine Gauri. But yeah, I didn't come to meet you. I wanted to see this Omkara character. Okay, correction. Abhay wanted me to come and see this Omkara character. He wanted to know what is that Omkara has that he doesn't." Rudy said
"You know. I'm going to kill Bhavya for telling you both this" Gauri said angrily
"Hey. My poor sweetheart. She was just trying to get Abhay off your back. He was not ready to listen to anything. He tried to get to you directly at first. Then he tried through Bhavya. Then he tried through me. You have no idea how many sleeps of mine he had spoiled. He has been giving me a headache since last night to come here and see your Omkaraji" Rudra said
