The Perfect Life (Part 2)

**Back at the hospital**

Jayne had fed and changed the twins, and was now lying with her head at the bottom of the bed watching them sleep. She was slowly drifting off into a comfortable sleep when there was a soft knock on the door. Jayne opened her eyes and sat up as Chris walked in.

"Hey gorgeous, how are you?" Chris said giving Jayne a kiss.
"I'm fine, just can't seem to shake the tiredness," Jayne said giving him a hug.
"Where are the kids?"
"I wanted to come in first and see if you were ready for six kids to pounce on you," Chris said with a laugh.
"I've been ready since you said you were leaving this morning. Can you do me a favor and only let them in two at a time. I just don't want them to wake the babies." Jayne said.
"Sure, I'll be back in a few," Chris said with a wink.

"Ok guys, I need you to split yourselves into pairs, your mum doesn't want all of you in the room at the one time, she's still pretty tired"
After about five minutes Jack turned to his dad.
"Ok, Sam and I will go in first, then Kieran and Jessie then the girls can go in last."
"Alright, that's fine. Come on boys."

Although Jack and Sam were from Chris' second marriage to Jill, the boys still called Jayne 'mum' out of respect and because they felt it would mean a lot to their dad. The boys fly to America regularly to America to see Jill and enjoy living in the UK.

The three of them went into Jayne's room. Sam ran quietly to Jayne.
"I've missed you so much, mum!" He said giving Jayne a big hug.
"I've missed you too sweetie. I've definitely missed those hugs of yours." Jayne said holding him tighter than ever.
"Hey mum, how are you?" Jack said kissing her on the cheek.
"I'm getting there, how have you been? Helping you dad out I hope." Jayne said giving him a cuddle.
"Trust me, I've been trying but we all know how stubborn he is!"
"Excuse me, I am not stubborn!" Chris butted in.
"Yes, you are! We all know you are!" Jack said.
"But that's why I love you!" Jayne said giving him a kiss.
"Please stop that! The last time that happened, that happened!" Jack said pointing to the two cribs.
Jayne and Chris couldn't do anything but laugh.

After another ten minutes talking and holding their new brother and sister, Jack and Sam decided to let Kieran and Jessica into see their mum.
"Ok, we are gonna let the two sprogs in for a while," Sam said with a laugh.

"I heard that!" Came from the other side of the door cause everyone to laugh.

"Don't call them that! You love them really." Jayne said hugging Sam.
"Yeah, 'love' them," Sam said with a smile
"Ok guys, I'll see you later," Jayne said kissing Jack.

Just as the boys were about to leave Ellie started crying. Sam walked over to the crib and picked her up and started rocking her, she soon stopped and went back into an easy sleep with a big smile on her face.
"Well, we know who to ask to babysit!" Chris said patting Sam on the shoulder.
"She obviously likes her big brother," Jayne said.
Sam bent down to Ellie's face and pretended to whisper.
"You are my favorite, princess." He kissed her on the head and gently placed her back into her crib.

Jack and Sam left the room and told Kieran and Jessie to go in quietly because the twins were sleeping.

Kieran and Jessica again are from Jayne's first marriage to Phil. After the divorce, Phil moved to France and visits the UK as often as possible to see the kids. Kieran and Jessica live a happy life and love having a big family.

Jessie ran into the room and straight into her mothers' arms.
"I've missed you so much, mummy!" She said tightening her grip on Jayne's neck.
"Honey, I can't breathe. Let go a little." Jayne croaked.
"Sorry mummy, I just missed you lots," Jessie said letting go and sitting on her mum's lap.

Kieran cautiously crossed the room and kissed his mum on the cheek.
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm a lot better now I've seen you guys!" Jayne said.
"That's good. When can you come home, it's rubbish not having you there when we come home from school." He asked.
"Soon sweetie, I promise. I just have to stay in for a couple of days because of my wound." She said.

While Kieran and Jessie were in the twins were due to be fed so Jayne decided to let Jessie help Chris feed Callum.
"Ok Jessie, come over here to the big seat," Chris said.
Jessie jumped up and sat with a pillow on her lap to help support Callum. Chris gently puts Callum into Jessie's arms and showed her how to hold him properly.
"See, you're a natural!" Chris said.
Chris held the bottle in Callum's mouth while he fed.

"Do you want to feed Ellie?" Jayne asked Kieran.
"No it's ok, I'll just watch." He answered.
"You don't have to be a big tough boy all of the time, you can if you want to." She said.
"No, honestly I'm fine just watching," Kieran said.

After the feed, the twins went back to sleep. Chris put them back into their cribs.
"Oh, I nearly forgot. Jessie, you picked toys for the twins didn't you?" Chris asked
"Yes, they are in the bag we brought for mummy." She answered cuddling into her mum.
Chris took the little soft white rabbit and the little bulldog out of the bag and put them in the cribs.

"I think someone might be getting tired," Jayne said cuddling Jessie.
"Think you might be right. Do you want to go home, Jessie?" Chris asked.
"Yes, but who will take me?" Jessie said in her little-tired child voice.
"I'm sure if you ask Jack very nicely he would take you," Jayne said.
"Ok, I'll go and ask him," Jessie said getting off the bed.

A few minutes later Jack popped his head through the door to tell his parents that he was going to take Kieran and Jessie home. A few moments later Heather and Megan appeared at the door like a cartoon sketch with one head above the other.

Heather and Megan haven't had the easiest lives. They met when they were put into the same foster home and have been inseparable since. You would never believe there were four years of a difference between them. They couldn't believe that someone was willing to adopt them both and were ecstatic when they found out the couple willing to adopt them were the couple which started their entire friendship in the first place.

"Can we come in and see our favorite person yet?" Megan asked.
"Of course you can! I've missed my girls!" Jayne said with a big smile.
"Hey! What about me? I thought I was your favorite person!" Chris said acting hurt.
"That was just an ego boost to get you to shut up," Heather said.

Both girls ran to the bed to give their mum a hug.
"I've missed this!" Jayne said
"Me too."
"Me three! Dad doesn't give as good hugs." Megan said.
"What is this? Offend your father day?" Chris asked.
"That's every day!" Both girls said at the same time.
"I still think you two should have been twins!"
Jayne couldn't help but laugh at the three of them.

"I'm going to go grab a coffee. Are you coming girls?" Chris asked.
"I'm coming for M&Ms!" Megan said running to the door.
"I'm gonna stay here and get a cuddle from my minions," Heather said.
"Ok, see you guys in a bit."

Jayne and Heather were in a comfortable silence holding the twins.
"I can't believe that they are finally here! It felt like a million years ago you told us you were pregnant."
"I know, I'm so glad I finally have the family I always wanted."

Heather placed the twins into their cribs, letting a small tear fall as she kissed their foreheads.
"Hey, what are the tears for?" Jayne said wrapping her arms around her oldest daughter.
"I'm not going to watch them grow into their funny little personalities or see their first steps. It's tearing me to pieces. They are barely in the world and I'm leaving them."
"What are you talking about of course you aren't going to miss them growing up."
"I have something to tell you but I don't know how anyone is going to take it," Heather said sniffing.
"I'm your mum, you can tell me anything!"

Just at that point Chris and Megan walked into the room and the conversation was dropped.
