Finding My Way Back To You

Chapter Three

Penelope asks Josie to be her girlfriend again.They have lunch with Lizzie and Hope. They all tease each other. 

Penelope opens the door to her room and smiles as she sees Josie standing there. The two have planned to watch a movie and snuggle. The raven haired witch has been looking forward to it all day. 

"Hey Jojo," Penelope greets.

"Hi Penny," Josie smiles, pecking Penelope's lips.

They head into Penelope's room and cuddle up on her bed. Josie rests her head on Penelope's chest, an arm thrown around the witch's waist. Penelope grabs her laptop and pulls up Mean Girls. The movie starts to play and they watch in content silence. 

Towards the end of the movie, Josie's eyelids begin to grow heavy. Noticing this, Penelope shuts the laptop and sets it aside. She pulls the blankets over them and pecks Josie's head. The brunette smiles at this.

"Josie?" Penelope asks.

"Yeah?" Josie replies. 

"I love you so much, Jojo. I never stopped. Will you be my girlfriend again?" Penelope begs.

"Of course. I love you too, Penny," Josie agrees.

Josie kisses Penelope briefly, causing the witch to smile. She snuggles back into Penelope's chest. Penelope pecks Josie's forehead and watches as Josie drifts off. Penelope watches her sleep for a while before falling asleep, the siphoner wrapped up safe and sound in her arms.

The next day, Lizzie manages to convince Alaric to let her, Josie, Penelope, and Hope go into town for lunch. The man says no at first, but after Lizzie pouts, he sighs and gives her the car keys. The blonde rushes to find her sister and their girlfriends, who she knows are hanging out on the lawn. 

"Get in the car. Hopey, you're driving," Lizzie announces once she finds them, tossing the keys to the tribrid who easily catches them. 

"Where are we going?" Josie questions as they all start to head towards the car.

"The grill. Convinced dad to let us go for lunch," Lizzie replies.

"Hell yes!" Penelope smiles, never having been a huge fan of the school's food.

"A thank you would be nice, Satan," Lizzie says.

"Thank you, Lizzie," Penelope replies. 

"Aw, look. She can say thank you," Hope teases, earning a glare from Penelope.

"Yeah, yeah. Let's just get going," Penelope sighs as they all hop into the car. 

They begin the drive to town. After parking the car, they all head into the Mystic Grill and take a seat at a table with two booths. Penelope and Josie slide into one, Hope and Lizzie taking the other. Once they have looked at the menus, Penelope and Hope end up ordering hamburgers, fries, and milkshakes while Lizzie orders a Caesar salad and smoothie and Josie gets a veggie burger and lemonade. 

"How did you get dad to agree to this?" Josie asks Lizzie once the food has arrived.

"He said no, but I pouted and he gave me the keys," Lizzie replies.

"Of course he did, Your pout is deadly," Hope chuckles, pecking Lizzie's check.

"Gay," Penelope teases. Hope throws a french fry at Penelope. The raven haired witch scoffs at her. 

"You're pretty gay yourself, Satan. I see those heart eyes whenever you look at my sister," Lizzie quips.

"She's got you there, Penny," Josie giggles.

"Touche. Can you blame me though? I mean, look at you," Penelope flirts, making Josie blush furiously.

"Aw. Jo, you're as red as a tomato," Hope chuckles.

"Don't make me show them the picture, Hope," Josie threatens.

"What picture?" Lizzie asks.

"When you were on that trip to Florida with mom, I found Hope wearing your pink sweater curled up with your pillow," Josie explains, smirking.

"Oh Hopey. That's adorable," Lizzie coos as Penelope bursts out laughing, "Did you miss me?"

"Of course I did. You were gone for a whole week," Hope nods, "Stop laughing at me, Park."

"No," Penelope snorts, earning a glare from Hope.

"Baby, you were texting me how much you missed me nonstop when you went to visit your parents. So, be nice and stop laughing at Hope or no more kisses for the rest of the day," Josie orders. This shuts Penelope right up. She's a sucker for Josie's kisses.

"Whipped," Lizzie quips. 

"You're whipped too, Saltzman," Penelope shrugs.

"You know it," Lizzie agrees, pecking Hope's check lovingly.

The four continue to eat their lunch, continuing to poke fun at one another and joke around. As Penelope watches as Josie bursts out laughing at a joke Hope made, and a wide smile crosses her face. She definitely made the right decision to come back to Mystic Falls and back to Josie.
