Finding My Way Back To You

Chapter Five

The pair go on their re-do date. When they arrive back at the school, there is someone waiting for Josie. 

Josie asks Hope to help her plan her re-do date with Penelope. She wants it to be amazing to make up for the fact that she missed their date. She agrees to help after a little convincing, since she has grown quite close with Penelope and is already very close with Josie. The witch and tribrid end up planning a trip to a lake about an hour away. They managed to find a spell to make the water nice and warm as it would be in summer. 

Josie convinces Alaric to let them borrow the car. After initially refusing, he tosses her the keys when she pouts, unable to resist his daughter's adorable pout, which has been his weakness ever since Josie was a toddler. Josie's pout is truly an unstoppable force of nature, and very few are immune.  

After loading the car up with drinks and towels, Josie heads to Penelope's room and knocks on the door. Penelope opens it and smiles when she sees Josie standing there. Josie is dressed in a white sundress with a yellow bikini underneath, a jean jacket on top. Josie smiles right back at Penelope, who is wearing some printed board shorts and a white tank top. Underneath, she is wearing a simple yet stylish black bikini.

"Ready to go, love?" Josie asks, holding a hand out for Penelope. 

"Let's go, Jojo," Penelope nods as she closes the door behind her before taking Josie's hand in hers. 

Upon arriving at the car, the two jump in: Josie behind the wheel, Penelope at the passenger's seat. Penelope immediately turns on her favorite station and starts bopping her head to the music. Josie chuckles, loving how carefree Penelope is when they are alone together. Due to the low traffic, the drive ends up being quicker than expected. After parking the car, they grab their belongings and head to the lake. As they strip down to their bathing suits, Josie siphons from Penelope in order to cast the spell that will warm up the water. 

"Looking good, Saltzman," Penelope smirks, taking in Josie in her bikini.

"Not so bad yourself, Park," Josie replies.

Penelope leaps into the water. She comes up and laughs as she finds Josie soaking wet from where the water splashed onto her. Josie pouts for a moment before joining Penelope in the water. Penelope pushes her raven black hair out of her face, and grins at Josie lazily. Josie leans in and kisses her lovingly, wrapping her arms around the witch's neck as Penelope rests her hands on Josie's waist. Smirking at the siphoner, Penelope pulls away and splashes Josie. Josie scoffs, and responds with a splash. A splash fight ensues, and as Josie takes in the carefree look on Penelope's face as she splashes Josie, she knows she planned a good date. 

About an hour later, they lay snuggled in the backseat, towels wrapped around them. Josie is in Penelope's arms, head resting on the witch's chest. Penelope kisses Josie's head, earning a small smile from the brunette siphoner. 

"Did you have fun, Penny?" Josie asks.

"Yes. Thank you for doing this. It was amazing," Penelope nods.

"Of course. I had to make up for my missing our date. I am so sorry about that," Josie replies.

"Hey. None of that. I forgive you, Jojo. No more apologies, just cuddles," Penelope tells Josie.

"Sounds good to me. I love your cuddles," Josie giggles.

"Me too, darling, me too," Penelope reploes.

The pair cuddle for a while before deciding to head back so they are in time for dinner. Penelope drives this time while Josie picks the music. They both sing along to the radio, just enjoying each other's company. When they arrive, they head to their separate rooms to change before dinner. Josie hums to herself as she unlocks the door, she finds someone sitting on her bed.

"Mom?" 

"Hi honey. I've missed you."
