The crackling of the fire became louder and louder, as your eyes creeped open slowly, still in a daze you sat up and rubbed your eyes "hmmm?.." you looked at the clock, 3:09am

You realized you fell asleep on the couch 'oh..I hope my lady didn't see me like this' you thought to yourself, but then you noticed a blanket wrapped around you with a note near where your head was 'I hope you sleep well
Y/N, I wanted to carry you to your room, but you looked too peaceful to bother, so I let you be' signed by Lady Dimitrescu herself

You groaned in embarrassed, of course she'd see you like this, but it still made your heart flutter knowing she still took the time to write the note, AND say she hoped you slept well

Holding the note to your heart you got up, deciding to go back to your room

As you were walking up the stairs you felt a pair of eyes get laid upon you

You quickly turned around to examine the room you were in, it seemed empty but it still spooked you with getting the feeling someone was watching you

You hurried up the stairs quickly and with pace, made it to your room

"That was weird.." you whispered to yourself

You felt wide awake now, knowing you wouldn't fall back asleep for a while

You heard a huge crash from downstairs, exactly where you were situated before

Your eyes widened, but you already knew yourself well enough to know your nerves couldn't be calmed if you didn't see what happened or what the noise was

You slowly creaked the door open and took quiet steps, only weighing 141 pounds you didn't creek the floorboards too much, glancing downstairs you saw

Nothing

Nothing was out of the ordinary, and that creeped you out even more 'what's going on?..'

You felt as if you should go see your lady, you were scared and you just wanted to be in her presence

You hurried along and basically ran to her room, knocking on the door

No response

You knock again, this time with a bit more force

Again, no response

'Oh! She might be in her study, she works pretty late sometimes'

You quickly ran to her study and knocked on her door, desperate for her to be there

"Come in"

A feeling of relief washed over you, you opened the door and slid in her study, she was sitting at a desk with some papers in front of her and that same yellow flask Mother Miranda gave to her was sitting just at the corner

She looked up and your eyes locked

"Y/N? Dear? What are you doing up? Weren't you sleeping?"

You nodded, you looked a bit shaken up from the previous events "yeah, but I woke up randomly and decided to go back to my room" you took a step closer "may I sit?" You pointed to a chair in front of her desk
