Monster boy

The minute I bumped into him I realised it was the one and only 'Karl Jacobs'  Me and my sister always watch his steams when we're trying to distract ourselves.

When my phone dinged it was my sister. She had said our parents were fighting again and she was scared.

My sister Kate is only 12 so she gets scared when things get bad.

I got home as quickly as possible. When I pushed open the front door the sound of my parent screaming hit me. I'm scared of loud noises aswel so I instantly cover my ears and make my way to Kate's room.

When I opened her bedroom door I saw her curled up in the corner with her eyes glued shut and her hands over her ears.

I walked over to her and placed my hand hand on her shoulder. Kate jumped and opened her eyes but they immediately softened as she saw me and practically tackled me into a hug.

I held her close and tight. "Let's watch one of Karl's streams, yeah?" I whispered.

"Yeah" she said almost inaudible.

I took out my old laptop and put on one of his streams.

I felt weight on my shoulder as I looked over I saw Kate asleep on my shoulder. I slightly smiled and thought

I need to get us out of this unhealthy home.Kate needs to feel safe.

I mean sure I was a famous faceless streamer but I needed to make more money and fast.

I pulled out my phone and started looking for jobs to make money so we could maybe find somewhere else to live.

After many hours of looking I couldn't find anything. I don't know why but my brain told me to ask the boy I was just watching on stream,now that I had his number.

Karl had sent me the location of this warehouse where I would be helping them.

I drove to it and texted Karl as I waited outside.

Not even two minutes later Karl and Jimmy came out.

"Hey!" I smiled.

"Hey!" Karl smiled back.

"So I'm going to have to ask you a few questions before we start obviously" Jimmy laughed.

"Yep let's go!" I said as we began to walk into the building.

I followed the two into a a little office like room where Chris was already there.

Karl left to go do something while Jimmy started.

"So first of all what's your name?"

"Oh yeah sorry,my names y/n!"

"Alright y/n why are you looking for this job?"

"I just needed any job really,"

"Okay,any reason?"

"Things at home aren't great so I'm trying to make money so me and my sister can move out of our parents house."

I saw Chris and Jimmy share a look of concern like they did the other night.

"How old is your sister?" Chris asked.

"She's only 12"

"And how old are you?"

"I'm 21"

"Is there anything else we should know about you?"

"Well umm Im also know as
'y/n.sparks' on twitch,if you know who that is"

Chris's mouth fell open as he stared at me which made me giggle slightly.

"It almost feels illegal seeing your face now" he joked.

Jimmy looked confused

"Dude she's basically famous!" Chris laughed while pulling up my twitch account.

"Holy crap"

I laughed at their reactions.

"Anyways you can work behind the camera and in videos if you like"

"Thank you so much I'm okay with both!"

"All right today you can work with the cameras,we're filming a last to leave the pool video"
