Arthit stared at Kongpob's sleeping figure on his bed. He transferred him to his room and kept Dara in the living room so he could monitor them both. When he arrived this afternoon, he was surprised to find Kongpob sleeping on the couch. He headed to the bassinet and saw Dara peacefully sleeping as well. He took a blanket and put it on Kongpob and then he took a quick shower.

When he came out, he checked on them again and Dara woke up, staring at him with twinkling eyes. He played with her on her tummy time, fed her, changed her clothes, and then she fell asleep again.

Arthit then headed to check on Kongpob and was surprised to feel him warm. He checked his temperature, he has a slight fever. Arthit immediately called Dr. Lee to ask. They were to go for a doctor's appointment this weekend, both for Kongpob's postpartum check-up, check his wound that has turned into a scar, and then his sugar level.

Dr. Lee asked him to monitor and if nothing happens more than a simple fever, they could stick to the schedule of the appointment which is two days from now.

Arthit made a warm soup and made sure to adjust the heater of the shower so Kongpob can have a bath later. When he woke up, he was surprised by the way Kongpob was looking at him. It was different – it felt different. It made his heart beat fast. Before he could speak, Kongpob spoke the three words he never expected to hear.

"I love you."

His fever was not that high, Arthit cannot call it his delirious state, perhaps he was dreaming. Arthit does not know what to say. He stared for a moment before he finally carried him to his room and gave him a sponge bath. It was good that Dara was behaving, she has not cried since Arthit arrived earlier. Arthit hoped for it to continue just to not wake Kongpob. He does not know what happened when he was gone but he saw traces of dried tears on Kongpob's cheeks earlier.

"I love you."

Arthit kept on hearing Kongpob's hoarse voice in his head. It felt... real. He wanted to believe it. Even the way Kongpob was looking at him gave him butterflies. It woke his heart that kept his feelings for so long.

'Do you? Is it true, Kong? Do you love me?'

He is currently holding his hand as he sits at the edge of the bed. He was supposed to wake him, feed him dinner, and let him drink medicine. His slight fever subsided after the sponge bath but Arthit wanted to make sure.

'Will you remember when you wake? Will you, Kong? I – I don't want to get my hopes up but –'

But Arthit's heart keeps on beating fast each time he remembers it and he feels like tears are forming around his eyes. It has been years since he kept these feelings in his heart... to hear those three words from Kongpob's fevered state, Arthit does not know how to react.

'Kong.'

In his head, he sounds like he is pleading and Arthit's lips are currently sealed, he does not have the strength to open it and speak. He just held Kongpob's hand tighter.

Kongpob can feel his head a little lightweight but the heavy feeling of his body from earlier is gone. He slowly opened his eyes when he felt something – someone holding his hand and he can only think of one person to do such a thing.

"Phi," he called. Arthit is looking down, the tip of his ear is pink and he is staring at their hands that are clasped on his lap. This made Arthit look at him and things flashed in his mind. The thoughts he had – then he must have fallen asleep – then he woke up – and then he – he...

Kongpob swallowed hard as he stared at Arthit's eyes. It looks misty and Kongpob does not like it.

"Are you okay?" Kongpob managed to ask as he tried to sit. Arthit assisted him.
